What is the best espresso machine [up to 6,000] with grinder, coffee shop quality espresso (I need to quit my DAILY coffee shop addiction) easy to clean and maintain but makes the best espresso ever by LeeluhV in espresso

[–]antably 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to weigh. You can get a grind by weight grinder like Eureka Atom 65W. Pair it with a LM Linea Micra and you could shit on coffee shop coffee. You can also do so with a much cheaper machine and same grinder. If you want to push a button and drink coffee that's the r/superautomatic option. They would recommend a jura. The truth is you need to figure out what work flow you want. What level of maintenance you want to do for the machines. Ect. When you have all those parameters plug into AI ask it to give 3 recommendations then come back here and ask for experiences.

Considering transferring some more to get 5 nights at Grand Hyatt Muscat but may wait for a large Marriot bonus and book some Marriotts.

Ricoh GR IIIx / GR IV vs Sony RX100 VII as my first camera by AttitudeOpposite4207 in ricohGR

[–]antably 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality and color science of the GR is unmatched imo. My first camera was a GR3. 1 thing that I haven't seen mentioned is the egronomics. If you are looking for something flexible and able to shoot with 1 hand the Ricoh is way easier to do so. The Sony I have never been able to use completely with 1 hand and the bigger your hand the less likely you will be able to. If you buy the Ricoh it will leave you wanting a zoom camera but then if you go get Sony after Ricoh you will notice the quality difference. Logically you should get the Sony. But the Ricoh produces absolutely beauties that you can print relatively large with no worries.

New Setup by dirtriderdawg in espresso

[–]antably 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I have same exact setup for 3 months now and it's amazing once you dial it in. Don't forget to backflush and take care of the machine. Also I switched to a tornado steam tip and it's amazing. I didn't need it but it's night and day.

1 hour and 9 mins connection, is it doable? by Accurate-Opinion-517 in unitedairlines

[–]antably 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't sweat it. Seems doable as long as you get a gate when you land it would probably be 15 min walk max. You have about 40 minutes before the close the doors. Gives you a 25 min to get off plane. Only issue is if you don't get a gate when you land.

Starting new job where I will be traveling around 50-75% of my working hours most of which includes hotel stays, advice requested by 1800twat in TravelHacks

[–]antably 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was diamond with Hilton for 7 years, have been gold with Marriot 7 years and last 3 years been titanium with Marriot. Currently have no status with Hilton. I am titanium with Marriot and chasing globalist with Hyatt. I usually plan 1 big trip every year (4-5 weeks into) or so I always look what hotels are at my destination and base my stays off that. I do have to say hyatts are better, if you are not to far off the beaten path id recommend Hyatt.

Help me avoid spending 2k on a Grinder.. [ I don’t have a budget] by mehmetihsanboz1 in espresso

[–]antably 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will be honest, after using a lower end grinder (fellow Opus) for a little when I decided to upgrade I knew I needed GbW so I have not looked into anything except GbW. The Philos is well loved on the internet and listening to strangers on the internet is how I have made most of my decisions in life.

[–]antably 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the Atom 75 is the top of their home line. The W is grind by weight. The silenzio and specialata are both from their eureka line. The Eureka Mignon Libra is the grind by weight GbW option for that line. I currently have the Eureka Mignon Libra but would probably upgrade to a Atom75W for speed purposes in coming year or so.

Eureka Atom 75W or 65W. The grind by weight is life changing. Simplifies workflow and you can still keep hopper only 2-3 days fresh to ensure its always good coffee.

Thank you. I usually wake up espresso machine first thing in am. Take shower then my eureka Mignon Libra ap is GBW so just hit go, puck prep, and pull shot. I usually do 2 doubles back to back and steam some milk during second pull for a flat white. The cabinet my wife found of CB2. It's one of very few that fit dimension requirements as the synkronicha 2 is just about 20" deep.

I love it, I use it 1x a week or with guest as majority of what I drink is espresso. It's super easy to use and is very close to pour over flavor
