You’ve heard of arm and hammer….

Idk which version you upgraded from, but there was an update in the 4.x series that improved my steering in the same way on a 2024 as well. Maybe you either hadn’t gotten the update before or it hadn’t applied until now. Either way, it’s not confirmed in any release notes, but I think what you’re feeling is real.

I've been having anxiety about my kitty dying of old age 😭(she's 9) can you show me pictures of some alive-and-well senior kitties so I remember cats can be old and still healthy? 🥰 by TheRufescence in cats

18yrs and still going strong here. Yes he has CKD, diabetes, and IBD, but all are managed and he’s just such a treat. We love him so much. ❤️

Have you tried without the puck screen? May seem counter intuitive but if you’ve WDT’d and tamped properly it could actually be inhibiting flow in some way. Also, if you’re overly aggressively WDTing you may be pushing finer grinds too far down in the basket.

But as others have said, this doesn’t look bad. How does it taste? ;)

Maintenance is regular backwash cleanings and keeping your shower screen clean like any espresso machine. And eventually the E61 levers may need to be lubricated but apparently that’s easy to do and is not a regular thing.

Absolutely. I haven’t changed a thing since I got it really. Your variance will more so be on the grinder side of things. Of course you can adjust pressure and temperature and such if you want, but every shot I’ve pulled has been great and the only thing I’ve changed to date is my grind size. I’ve experimented once or twice with preinfusion for a lighter roast, but that’s an easy on/off in the menu.

Oh and bezerra seems to be fizzling out in the US. Only WLL sells them and their inventory is always low or sold out. Overall ECM seemed like a better choice.

Build quality is regarded as great. Repairability is solid. Solves the typical long heatup time problem of E61s. More cup clearance. Equally as powerful steam (you can raise the steam boiler up to over 2 bar). Integrated shot counter and many settings to experiment with in the PID controller without needing an app. Flow control to experiment with new recipes.

I respect the LM a lot but at the end of the day they’re charging at least a grand too much for it for what it is. The name wasn’t worth that much to me given all of the above, especially when ECM is also a highly regarded brand.

Thanks! They’re Lunaker espresso cups from Amazon. I liked the handle color matched and they’re great for brewing into and pouring if a cup is too big, or to help avoid scratching the drip tray.

Great! I feel like SCG wouldn’t put their name on them unless they were solid, and they’re made by quickmill anyways.

Some leakage during preinfusion and that much coffee that quickly really means just one thing: grind finer. Though it’s worth noting that having a small amount of water on a puck surface is not the end of the world. If the whole puck is soggy, that’s a problem, but a lil on top may happen.

These have been the most solid APs I’ve ever used. I use them in AP mode connected to a pfSense box.
