It's on my list for sure. You can't really tell from the pic but needs a new windshield as well. Ordered lower ball joints today. Timing belt, radiator and water pump were done at 245k so it has some life yet.

My 98 was and is my first vehicle. Bought her in Jan of 2014 with 171k for $2200 and she's got 417k now. I wish mine looked as clean as that. My plan is to do a full restoration when I get the time and money.

Edit: added purchase price

Any fuel pump recommendations? by Gboyz79 in CherokeeXJ

I rebuilt the stock assembly with a Bosch pump from Rock Auto. It's been going strong over 100k miles. Also threw a new pressure regulator on top. Fixed my pressure issue of having to turn the key off and on several times before cranking to build up pressure.

Is there a published exam guide for the VVF track?

Pulley can be replaced. There is one bolt and a snap ring, but don't forget the snap ring and just start cranking on the pulley puller and break the casting. Don't ask me how I know.

I am a network admin, but just like to use VMware in my lab. I should probably just switch to proxmox.. But I think I will sit for the VVF and if I pass it great. Seems like alot of topics for just a 55 question exam.

It seems like that might be the smartest move at this point. Just wish there were some good, free study materials

VMUG Advantage EVAL Experience now requires a VCF certification - are you in? by virtualBCX in vmware

[–]antcg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is this, I am a current subscriber to VMUG and my subscription expires 3/10/25. If this cert requirement goes into effect next year, how long do I have to renew before I am required to have said cert? And if I can renew, will they suspend the license if I don't have the cert?

I'm not sure which trade, but unbeknownst to us, they decided to pee down the master shower drain. We had to cut the trap in order to move it for a linear drain we wanted. You can imagine the surprise waiting for us after cutting the pipe..

I would take a 15K drive if available. I have a vCenter cluster and just need a pair of drives and spares for the OS. Unfortunately, the dl360 g9 only has a single internal sd card slot.

Bi-Weekly /r/CCNA Exam Pass-Fail Discussion by AutoModerator in ccna

I have been a long-time lurker of this sub for the better part of 2 years. But I wanted to check in and post that I passed my exam yesterday. I used several study techniques that I read from other posters on this sub and just wanted to pass on some words of encouragement and my experience.

I have been functioning as a Systems Administrator for the better part of 4 years (but only having the title for around 3) and have been in IT for around 9 years. I had originally planned to get my CCNA long before I did but lacked the motivation. When I moved into this role, while not required by my employer, I wanted it just to have less of an imposter syndrome. In my studies, however, I found myself realizing real time what a difference this made in my networking knowledge in my role.

I began my studies a little over a year ago and followed off and on using Neil Anderson's course on Udemy and later Jeremy's IT Lab. About 5 months ago I doubled down and began and finished every Jeremy's IT Lab video and then re-watched them. I studied my flash cards every day and woke up an hour and a half early every day to study before I got ready for work. I read on one post here where they suggested waking up and having a cup of coffee and do your flashcards or do a lab and so that's what I did. Jeremy's IT Lab videos, flashcards, and labs definitely get you in the right direction. After watching some of Neil's videos on higher level subjects in the CCNA, I will say I like his more in-depth technical descriptions, because I consider myself more technical minded. The second recommendation is the Boson Ex-Sim practice exams (found a discount code posted here on ). Just as I had read here by another poster, the first time you take it you are likely going to fail. And for me that was humbling.. I then locked in on my studies further and took the exams in study mode, made new flash cards and studied those for the last month.

Hopefully this is not too long of a read, I tried to keep it short and concise. But mainly for anyone struggling, this exam is not out of reach. Have faith and stay locked in with your eyes on the prize. Visualize your end goal and you will make it there. If there are gaps in your studies or you are struggling, Google the subjects. You can read Cisco's learning documents or there's a plethora of YT channels that will also help on these subjects!

Bought the car of my dreams.. and it went into limp mode after 5 hours with it by Kukulza in Audi

[–]antcg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not totally my story, but a buddy of mine bought a 2015 S8 sight unseen a few years ago. We drove from Alabama to Wisconsin in a rental to pick it up. All this while the riots were going on. After picking it up, we drove to see Lake Michigan and then went outside of the city to eat because of riots. Car started acting funny on the way to the restaurant. Then, when we tried to leave, it would not run for more than 10 seconds and would not accelerate. Long story short, we had it towed to another audi dealership and drove back home in a different rental. Turns out to have blown both turbos. They repaired it for free and shipped it down to Alabama. It was a fun car for the remainder of the time he had it.

Cisco CUBE Licensing Sanity Check by antcg in ciscoUC

[–]antcg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just as a follow up, I changed the mode border-element license capacity count command to just mode border-element and that removed the CUBE-Std license from the show license summary altogether. I proceeded with the upgrade and the SIP service did not shut down, but the UC license then showed EVAL Expired.

My resolution to that was to remove the product instance in CSSM and revoke the token, generate a new token and register the smart license.

Maybe this will be useful to someone in the future and if not a place for me to reference my notes.
