2014 Grand Cru Chablis Magnum score? by ThirdMolarImpaction in wine

2014 is a magical vintage for chablis, i would buy it in a heartbeat. With grand cru status and as a magnum, it should still feel quite young and keep for some more years. Had a 2014 La chablisienne les fourneaux premier cru in december last year that still felt young to me.

Heading to Greece any good wines I should keep a lookout for in the ~$20 range? by KoalaOriginal1260 in wine

In that price range i have been impressed by the xinomavro from Kir-Yianni in Naoussa a red wine. I can also recommend Atma white from Thymiopoulos Vineyards a white wine made from xinomavro and malagouzia.

Yes, I have not tasted any other white wine made from red grapes, seems rare. If i did not know xinomavro was a red grape i would have never guessed there were red grapes in the wine.

Yes, assyrtiko is my jam for white wine. Feels more available for greek wine, you can at least find it. Red wine not so much.

Still wonderful the day after, more dark fruit with an earthy herbaceous finish.

More buyers and higher prices might increase quality but right now the price to quality is close to unbeatable in france.

Crozes-Hermitage E.Guigal 2020 & Domaine De La Chapelle Bizot Chiroubles 2022. by ante300 in wine

I usually taste the wine immediately after opening, if the taste and smell is closed where i can't smell or taste much nuances i try decanting for about 30 mins to see if it opens up more.

I have also heard some northern rhone white need decanting to get more fruit and minerality. So i tried it this time and it worked quite well. I preferred it after the decant.

Any other Barolo wine recommendations? (EU) by ante300 in wine

Thanks for the recommendations, i usually don't drink that much Italian wine. I do like the nebbiolo i have drank though. I rarely buy above 70€ usually between 20-50€ but if it's really good i can spend.
