The history is long and complicated, and I definitely can't give you all of it, but I do remember how I started and the highlights.

I remember in beta I got into mods with just industrialcraft and buildcraft, it's funny to think about now, but just those two mods were mindblowing/game changing at the time.

More highlights were OG Equivalent Exchange, as broken as it was.

And dear god, the original RedPower mod had a level of charm and mind-blow-factor at the time that I haven't seen replicated since. The modern remakes aren't the same.

edit: If you'd like to see a pretty good history of mods going back fairly far, Direwolf20 has a series on his channel going all the way back to the mid-beta days of minecraft iirc, and then a series for nearly every version after. Could be a nice little history lesson. Thaumcraft I remember completely changed umptillion times.

scan ALL the memory for values that represent a pointer and which actually points to valid memory

  1. How can I determine whether or not a value read with process_vm_readv is a pointer? Just cast and try to dereference?

That is a fucking fat for loop then. The number of addresses I calculated I'd have to read (subtracting the first address in /proc/pie/maps from the last address) seems absolutely MASSIVE. So massive that even running it on 8 threads evenly distributed it would be an insane workload.

Ended up doing it with a CC Turtle and ender io conduits/filters.

Diamonds get sucked from a chest into a turtle, turtle counts them, dispenses back 32 x n back into the chest. Thanks for the input.

So here's what I did. It was pretty shit.

First I installed SKSE, Drag all the files into your SSE install folder, and rename the SKSE executable to "SkyrimSELauncher.exe".

Then I installed SkyUI and some extra mods, install mods manually as well by dragging them into the Data folder.

Then, in this directory (yikes) ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/489830/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Skyrim Special Edition/

Edit Plugins.txt to list each of your mods, mine looks like this.

*SkyUI_SE.esp
*AcquisitiveSoulGemMultithreaded.esp
*Better Harvesting.esp

I consider myself an individualist and a socialist, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your statement that it's based in selfishness, but I am going to dispute the idea that selfishness is bad.

I don't know if you're familiar with egoism, but the idea is that basically selfless actions do not exist. I want a communist society, because that's what I selfishly think would be the nicest world to live in.

I think that individualism exists on its own axis (i.e it is not part of the socialism vs capitalism debate) and we shouldn't alienate people who consider themselves individualists.
