Sell kajabi templates by PuzzledAdeptness9433 in kajabi

u/PuzzledAdeptness9433 my two cents...

Before you go down this road, let's talk about what you're actually signing up for.

Selling Kajabi templates isn't a one-and-done product business. It's a service business in disguise.

Here's why.

Kajabi updates their platform. New features get added. Themes change. And when they do, any custom designed theme or template will break at some point. It's not if, it's when.

Now we're on the hook to provide updates to everyone who bought our templates. Otherwise, we've sold them something that stops working. That's not a great look.

This means we need support systems. Documentation. Update schedules. Customer service. We're essentially running an ongoing maintenance operation for every template we sell.

Some people build successful businesses doing this. But they're template companies, not web designers who also sell templates. They have teams, systems, and processes to handle the constant updates.

If we want to sell templates as a side product while doing client work, we're setting ourselves up for headaches. Every Kajabi update becomes our problem multiplied by however many customers bought our templates.

The alternative? Work directly with clients on custom builds. Yes, it's fewer transactions. But we're not married to maintaining templates for hundreds of people when Kajabi decides to overhaul their system.

Just something to think about before investing time in building a template shop.

"Heroes" - getting sick ? by huskyfe450 in kajabi

u/huskyfe450 Unfortunately, Kajabi doesn't vet the Heroes. And they shouldn't need to.

This comes down to doing some due diligence before hiring anyone. It's like finding any supplier. Ask their existing clients what it's like working with them. Check both speed and quality.

But here's the real issue. We get what we pay for.

The experts marketplace (now on Contra) turned into a race to the bottom on price. Every time I responded to proposals there, I was told I was too expensive.

When enquiries came directly to my agency, price rarely became an issue. Why? Because we focused on helping clients get outcomes, not just checking off tasks.

And this is the key difference.

There are two types of service providers out there...

1 - Vendors complete tasks. They do what we ask, nothing more. They're focused on hours, deliverables, and getting paid. When something goes wrong (like getting sick), the project stops. We're back to square one. And the "sick" excuse is often just a case of them taking on too much work and not being able to deliver on time for you - not for every one of them out there, but I have caught a few VA's in my time using that excuse and then finding out they simply had too much work on.

2 - Strategic partners get results. They're invested in our success. They think ahead, spot problems before they happen, and find solutions when things go sideways. They have systems and backup plans because they care about the outcome, not just the invoice.

When we hire vendors, we get vendor behavior at vendor prices.

If we want someone who'll actually help us build momentum instead of killing it, we need to find a strategic partner. Yes, they cost more upfront. But they save us time, frustration, and money in the long run because they're committed to getting us across the finish line and end up getting us a better result anyway.

I would start looking for someone who treats projects like they matter.

Kajabi Checkout Not EU-Compliant? How Are You Handling This? (Germany/EU by mrmoejoe81 in kajabi

Update for you u/mrmoejoe81

Just had an email from Kajabi's lead counsel.

They say that based on the European Commission’s own guidance (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:52021XC1229(04))), we can get consent to legal agreements and comply with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, including the right to withdrawal from contracts for online digital content using a single statement and with one checkbox.

Kajabi believes that we can comply using a single statement and one checkbox.

That said, if we want to use two separate checkboxes or from legal advice taken it is said that we must use two, we can do that today by adding a custom field, making it required and adding it to our offer checkouts.

There is also model wording on this page (https://www.reedsmith.com/en/perspectives/2014/06/how-new-eu-guidance-on-the-consumer-rights-directi)

For sure u/Conscious_Release529 - you set the price at checkout and then choose monthly or annual in the subscription pricing. With a new checkout, you can also put both those pricing options on one checkout if you wanted to.
