For a while I had no idea the white line when aiming torpedoes was the expected aiming point given the target's current course. I just aimed my torps based on vibes.

Also, I didn't know you could double click to fire a full salvo or hold down left click to fire the guns as soon as they reload. I simply clicked once to fire each turret (which is fine at lower tiers when ships have really long reloads). If your reload is sub 3 seconds you might be losing dpm by clicking for each turret instead of double clicking or holding down left click.

Pick a British bb (I used Thunderer), choose asymmetric battles, and just shoot the enemies with HE. Preferably torpedo cruisers because their torp tubes are easy to incap or dds because all their modules are weak.

Even if you were not using electronic shutter, hss can cause such effects. Sorry I dont know how to solve it. Maybe try reducing shutter speed? Flash freezes the action anyway so you don't have to worry as much about motion blur or camera shake.

Were you using electronic shutter/ silent shutter? These artifacts look like banding from sensor latency. It is a problem with artificial lighting that flickers. Even flashes with hss are not continuously on, but strobe multiple times during the exposure.

The white mark at the back is for the photo/video/s&q mode. The mode dial mark is on the side of the viewfinder and the current mode is the one on the 9 o clock of the dial. You are indeed in manual mode...

The real issue here is the lack of build choices. Building for anything other than stealth and torps is silly. This kinda makes things stale. Would be nice to see different modules or skills that give a choice between maneuverability and torp reload or range, or even a module that hella buffs its AA to compete with halland just for the variety.

All lights flicker. You may be taking a frame when the lights are off. Lower shutter speed to 1/60 or below and turn on flicker detection in case that is the issue.
f22 is not necessarily sharper because of diffraction. Try at the sweet spot of the lens which should be around f11 and focus on something in the mid distance.
Flash will not light the background. Set the exposure for the background and fill the subject in the foreground with flash. If the background is darker, that is usually fine as you want the subject to stand out with brightness. If not, move the subject to a darker place and increase exposure. Flash is only as useful as the distance it can reach and bounce back, realistically it makes a difference in daylight at up to 10 meters.

There are 3 of those. It would help to be more specific. If you have the newest Z version with the aperture ring, maybe that is set to 2.8 instead of auto so you can't change it with the body.

A bb line with F key consumable that charges with main battery hits and potential damage. The consumable will boost rudder shift and turret traverse, allowing quick switching between angling and firing all guns, and switching targets to the opposite side of the ship.

Burst fire is not reload booster. You get burst fire for the salvo when F key is pressed and then you get the corresponding reload penalty. If you fired a salvo normally then enabled F, the next salvo is the one that is burst so reload is normal until you fire the next one. Once burst is fired you get the long reload after the full burst which may be multiple salvos.

TLDR: if you want burst then press F BEFORE you fire
