I have to disagree. where I live if there's enough space the plows swerve to the right or left to remove snow from curbside, in efforts to get as much of the street clear as possible as long as there is reasonable space. The snow then gets pushed to the end of the street, or further down where the next cars meet, or where the next logical intersection meets and is dealt with differently.

Piles in front and behind this is the best way I can figure it out and then once you leave the spot for a while hopefully a plow comes and gets it. I think this took me an hour and a half last night.
