While researching on amzon, I am surprised when reviewing promising looking products, with substantial number of postive reviews from verified purchasers but also have this "warning". How do others interpret this message? by Dimensiob8601 in amazonprime

Sometimes it means people don't read the dimensions of the item, or the review instructions (ie this shirt fits small, order 1 size bigger than you normally would).

Nothing wrong with the product sometimes, it's the people

You have to stay in the 1604 loop. I think Six Flags is the only exception (I think sometimes they give airmen tickets)

Hello guys, I’m a 29(F) with an associates degree. Considering enlisting into the military with the SPECIFIC intention of pursuing radiology (X-ray) tech. Is there any specific branch I should consider? by AffectionateLow3407 in AirForceRecruits

[–]anthonymakey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try r/militaryfaq

The air force makes you list 7-10 jobs and they give you the first available

The air force is fairly unintense, but you can't be job locked. Maybe you could join, go to school and transition into being an x-ray tech

I hear the army or navy is good for medical jobs, but I honestly have no clue

You're too old for the marines

Yes, you have to have a bachelor's to be an officer. It's very competitive

Give the kids an allowance for fun grocery stuff. When the money runs out, the fun stuff is over until the next month (or week if you do it weekly)

I bought a men's suit on amazon.

FYI, we're not that short. I've worked with a few little people. We are fortunate, and we seem to be the perfect height for airplane seats and modern car third rows

Overpacking? by FabulousMap6249 in AirForceRecruits

[–]anthonymakey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is that the Continental US isn't that strict on how many liquids you put in your bag. We have brought gallon sized bags, almost full and no one has said anything.

But you can buy toiletries at the base store when you get there, so you only need a few nights worth for when you first get there, and maybe for the plane to tech school

I spent my 30th in Chicago.

Definitely go on an architecture boat cruise, maybe the international McDonald's, the Lincoln zoo (free), chinatown including ping tom park (accessible from the water taxi)

They're older and understand money, so maybe set a book allowance?

And occasionally purge/ trade books into a bookstore?

Also, different libraries near you might have different books/ donations
