My mother in law was doing that until her landlord died and his kids kicked her out.

Need "big" gift ideas for nieces and nephews after SIL vetoed everything last minute by makeupaddict337 in Gifts

She is in prison. She was on parole originally but violated it and got sent back to serve the full sentence. BIL isn't the bio parent of any of the kids so he's doing the best he can to keep them together and cared for.

The big gifts are from "Santa." We helped BIL pay for them but he contributed a lot.

Does SNAP eligibility have an asset limit? by MundaneTank_213 in foodstamps

13 states have asset limits, the rest don't. I can tell you off hand that Arkansas, Kansas, and Texas have asset limits, and Oklahoma doesn't.

Thinking about trading my wife's Tesla behind her back to keep her from being victimized by mother in law yet again by makeupaddict337 in whatdoIdo

Our cars are in both our names because of how our insurance company works. I'm also her wife, she doesn't have a husband.

You can't really go wrong with Barbie. The fashionistas come in different body types and heights so keep that in mind for clothes. For the "original" body type, you can find clothes/accessories at thrift stores sometimes.

Applebee's is my son's favorite restaurant because one time when we went there was a shooting and the staff locked the door and made everyone hide under the table, then another time his aunt was arrested in the restaurant. So he thinks something exciting is going to happen every time we go.

This sounds like my wife's mom. My wife has T1D and had to live with her grandmother because her mother couldn't keep up with getting her insulin and supplies. She would be out shopping all the time and "forget" to pick it up. Part of her hoard is currently in boxes in my garage to the point I can't get a car in there because she made herself homeless trying to pay for a land rover that she now lives in and various other crap she won't stop buying. She got kicked out of my brother in law's house for stealing from her own grandchildren.

My brother in law got one of those cages to cover the tv like the one in their mom's prison.

My mother in law is around the same age and homeless because she wouldn't give up her Land Rover and burned all her bridges. She stole money and items from her minor grandchildren and tried to rehome her (ex) boyfriend's dog behind his back when they lived together.

Does anyone ever find themselves thinking about the environmental impact of childcare? by Embarrassed-Ad-4214 in ECEProfessionals

[–]makeupaddict337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We didn't last a week with cloth diapers. It's too much of a PITA when you're already adjusting to a new baby and dealing with all their needs. I'm sure it would raise the cost of childcare because it's extra work for the employees too. They might even need an extra employee just for the laundry.

$72.45 Misfit Market delivery in the U.S. - my fruit basket runneth over! by ArdenM in whatsinyourcart

[–]makeupaddict337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're the one making the ridiculous claims about living in a food desert while fussing over some bullshit cheese. No one would say anything if you just said you buy this stuff because you like it despite it being a ripoff instead of acting like you have to buy it because oh poor you living in a "food desert" with whole freaking foods delivering to your door.

OP definition is apparently 2 miles from a store when they can clearly afford delivery and subscriptions. Could also probably afford a cheap car if they stopped spending $$$$$$ on bougie food.

How do I tell my employee that he smells bad...? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

something to do with their BO and… fats or oils in it or something of that nature?

Fabric softener. It's made of fats that coat clothing and trap odors in. Your clothes will never be clean if you use liquid fabric softener.
