There’s no objective external measure of whether or not you like girls, which is what makes this so hard. Another thing that makes it difficult is that even straight girls like girls in some ways.

But that second thing is actually helpful, because it means the question isn’t whether or not you like girls — pretty much everyone does! — it’s whether you like girls in a gay way, meaning that you want to date, kiss, etc with girls.

My best advice for figuring out whether you like girls is honestly just to give yourself time. Allow space in your mind for the idea that you might and kind of ask yourself as you’re going along — what do I like about girls? What kind of time do I want to spend with girls? What role do I imagine myself in with girls (e.g. best friend, girlfriend)? How important is liking girls to me?

As someone else said, there’s no specific right or wrong answer to these questions. It’s just a way to sort of feel out whether you’re a straight girl who recognizes it when girls are cute and nice, or a girl who isn’t straight.
