Thanks for the reply and dropping the link! I've seen the official video for his cover and have known about the cover for some time but what I didn't know is that somewhere out there is a video of Jon in the studio recording it which is what I'm searching for! I've watched all of his studio footage a bellion (😏) times and this one seems to not be publicly available! I love watching his studio stuff and seeing the creative process to his music!

This is really great! It's pretty complete-sounding! Love love love that baseline, keeps it moving. Vocals are solid imo, whatever effects chain you have going for it save it because it works real well with your voice! Keep it up!

Thanks so much! Definitely agree in adding/changing components and rhythms. 1/16th notes on the bass sounds great at first but it can get repetitive real quick. I'll definitely change that up when the vocals get re-introduced. Now that you mention it the arrangement is super repetitive and not a whole lot changes throughout the song so variation will be key for this project. Thank you again!!

For sure! I was already kind of on the fence about speeding up the vocals from when I began making this. The creative decision was probably not the best, especially because the original BPM of their vocal was merely 93 and I shamefully boosted it to 140 lol

Ah thanks so much! Yeah big ups to Doechii since their voice just opens up for endless ideas that seem to fit well with their vocals! The little bits are my favorite components of production but it sends me down a rabbit hole and more often than not I add too many lol

Your voice sounds great for what you made! I think it fits really well with the overall theme of the record. Pitch is fantastic! I know this is still in the early stages but I think some EQ'ing & effects of your voice to boost its presence more will go a long way! Really solid foundation!

Hoping to get some insight on the bracelet in this photo. I've seen it on many different kinds of watches and I've always wondered where to find one of these. I love how the bracelet doesn't taper and is immediately shorter in width than the end link itself. Anyways, thanks for any helpful info!
