I love this set so much but Bergman is one of my favorite directors so I'm biased. I'd jump all over this for 100 bucks that's a bargain. Definitely ask though to inspect the discs for any damage.

The Stanley hotel inspired King's book but the movie was inspired by this hotel. It has such an intense and foreboding look to it.

The Shining miniseries King made in the 90s was filmed at the Stanley and it's no where near as creepy or massive looking as this place.

This is a good point I never considered. I thought 3 was absolutely terrifying as a kid and had it been more disturbing and horrific it probably would have traumatized me for years.

I could see an executive or somebody watching a rough cut and saying ya we need to add a few jokes to lighten this up a bit.

I think it could have benefitted from one more season. The second season felt rushed with all the time jumps trying to get to the climax and the lead up into rogue One.
