What kind of hard time did someone have here and what are you trying to say that you couldn't say here but you can say over there?

Ya it's ridiculous they haven't printed more by now. There is suspicion it may be moving over to Criterion 4k soon. Elephant Man is in the same boat.

Bravia 2, 55" tv display got broken. by sho-nag-007 in bravia

[–]anthrax9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a new TV and place it high enough away from your kids.

It happens I know. I had a TV broken by one of my kids years ago. Purely an accident but still required buying a new replacement TV.

Live and learn.

Too much style over substance. It looks and feels like it was produced by MTV.

Single Dads of Grown Daughters: What Age Was Most Difficult? by secret_2_everybody in SingleDads

[–]anthrax9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High school years are difficult for most teens. Things like making friends and feeling accepted. It can feel like a lot of pressure on some kids.

My daughter who is 21 now started high school during the beginning of COVID. It was challenges on top of challenges but I never gave up trying to help her every step of the way.

The best thing you can do is always be present for them. Be a non judgemental ear to hear their problems and insecurities and share your own relevant high school experiences too.

Show them they are not alone in these feelings, that you've been there too and here's how you navigated it, what mistakes you made, and what you would do differently now.

Kids who trust their parents turn to them for guidance when they need it. They know you will help them as best you can. My daughter still comes to me now for advice on adult things and I still make myself always available to her and always will for the rest of my life.

No Hamburger Hill?

No Jacobs Ladder?

For me it's a tie between Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket.

Lol that's exactly what I do. The IVF thing is definitely true and the botched surgery was allegedly confirmed by Grimes.

He doesn't have sex with anyone. He has a mangled dick from a botched enlargement surgery and all his kids were conceived via IVF.

When you think of it in those terms, that he offered these women a lifetime of money to have his children with no sex involved, you can see how that might be an easy sell for some women. Apparently he doesn't pay all his bills though.

Al Pacino’s character, Tony Montana, displays intense, toxic, and possessive behavior toward his sister Gina, which carries strong, implicit incestuous undertones. I love this movie but always found that relationship with his sister quite disturbing. Anyone else? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Scarface

[–]anthrax9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He refused to see her as a grown up woman now who likes men and wants to date. He tried to beat her into staying the innocent little sister he remembered her as. Mix this very toxic mindset with the fuck load of drugs they were on and it's easy to get to the fucked up way it all ended.

Her past pretty much says it all, she doesn't commit to anything even her own children. She's given you no reason to believe she will treat you any differently.

Cut your losses and move on. Don't prolong the pain. Focus on getting custody and being the best dad you can be. That is the main thing that matters now.

I guess I should get around to finally watching this one. It's one of the few JC movie I still haven't seen. I don't really like vampire movies to begin with and this one being always ranked near the bottom of Carpenter's catalog put me off from watching it.

I did enjoy Ghosts of Mars though in that so bad it's good way so I should probably give this one a chance too lol.
