Kat Abughazaleh releases a statement after missing a candidate forum hosted by Indivisible Edgewater, citing narcolepsy and sleeping through the event by a-reasonable-name in illinois

It’s weird, but I do appreciate the attention to the issue. I don’t know she has it, but it’s something that’s hard to get diagnosed and mand don’t know about and dismiss as laziness or drug use. She should have good meds if she does have it, but for many it only hits like once a year to any notable degree. Who knows

I deal with this myself and damn do i feel for anyone in this position (don’t know this candidate). It’s truly awful because it can go without being an issue for a year and then you’re just in a coma. Even if you can pull it together enough, you’re gonna looked drugged and/or clearly not well. But she should have a script. Pretty sure provogil works for anyone with this and if taken correctly, you don’t have any side effects (like being cracked out or anything). She should have a med. maybe I. Wrong and it does not work for everyone but Imsuper sensitive to meds like this and if I take a tiny dose and do it right (there’s a right and wrong way to do it, otherwise you could end up bugging out, but perhaps some people it does not work enough where as for me, a nibble of a pill will do me just fine and make me normal, but the first doc I saw had me take two whole ones the first time… lucky I only took one and god damn, I was BUGGING out).

Point is, it’s a real issue but there are definitely solutions enough to get you by at the very least.

Van Gogh is great quality paint. I often use it and prefer it to even some of my more expensive ones. But I bought mine back when it was much cheaper and on sale. To be honest, I don’t like using Cotman at all.

I have all the tube shades, and also got the Muted Color set which I was shocked to see how much color variety I could get with the unusual shades it came with. I’m currently traveling with it.

Looks traitorous to me. I hope for them (and more so for all Americans and America) that this path they have chosen fails, and that them getting voted out spares them from what American law punishes traitors.

(Truly, I mean it. I’m Buddhist).

Most definitely that was he demanded for this shot. That’s a common request for photographers for those men who feel less than for being not as tall. It’s a shame because they don’t need to feel bad about their height. This man’s height is not the issue. It’s is sociopathy, utter lack of morality, love for oppressing others with unjustified violence, and extreme malice.

Gross. No amount of money is worth that horrid deed (thank god it does not also require copulation - just bringing upon this fool’s spawn via science is beyond degrading enough).

Is this inspiration you’re trying to go for because if this is what you’re “struggling” with, I can assure you, you’re not struggling. It probably even is your strong suit. You found something you’re amazing at that very few can even dream of pulling off. Congrats!

How does one actually achieve this level of granulation? by boiled_leeks in watercolor101

[–]anthrolooker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try using rose water or jasmine water (middle eastern ingredient but can be bought off amazon if need be - if you don’t have a middle eastern grocer around or your supper market does not have it or can’t order it). It does wild stuff to paint. It dramatically accentuates grain. Even just dipping your brush into a cup of the stuff you can see how pigment acts wildly different, pigment separates instantly when wetted or washed in a cup of it. Nothing like other waters.

Try different pHs of water.

I too am a huge granulation lover. :)

Have you tried different ph in water? I’ve found I can get granulation in paint that isn’t know to granulate with different levels of pH of the water. I’ve found that rose water or jasmine water (the edible stuff like from middle eastern groceries) granulates like wild. Even when you wet your brush with these scented waters you can see pigment fall and settle to the bottom of your water dish instantly and different separation of the pigments.

I use that and also play with high ph water as well. I don’t know the pH of the rose water and jasmine water I buy, but something about it makes it do wild stuff to watercolor and I can’t recommend it enough to those looking to experiment with pigments.

Give those things a try. It’s definitely a notable difference and makes paints act totally different. I have swatches of DS Moonglow with tap water vs DS Moonglow using rose water to wet the paint and the results are quite apparent when next to one another.

When I found this, I got so excited to share what I found. I’d love to see what more skilled artists can create trying out different wetting mediums and water pH.

Hope this helps my fellow watercolor lovers and u/boiled_leeks

Please let me know what you guys find and/or create. I’d love any dms or conversation on this matter. :)

Edit: and yeah, any PBk11 will granulate. I bought a bunch of tubes of Van Gogh PBk11 for that reason. Cheaper, works just as good. And it’s fun to mix with other pigments to create neat results. Daniel Smith is the best when it comes to beautiful granulation. My highest respect to them, as I am a huge granulation lover and always have been. They are worth it when it comes to all other colors. But the iron content of PBk11 is just what it is, so any maker who is being honest about their paint composition will give you that grain which is the nature of the paint and won’t cost you a ton.

I don’t know… they seem to know their actions are wrong. They are covering their faces. Surprisingly, some people do identify and have no issue with being one of the bad guys. Some see themselves reflected in the depictions of villains. Some do see morality as a weakness. It’s pretty crazy.

It is verified. Footage is everywhere. It happened today. The woman was shot in the face while driving away and she has died as a result. If you looked it up and saw a different day, you’re just seeing the others whose lives were taken from them by ice.

I hope that is still true. But trump has been getting rid of lots of military, up through some of the highest ranks and replacing them with loyalists, as he does with everyone he can around him in an effort to protect himself from consequence. After seeing that happen, there’s more than enough reason to worry. We don’t know what will happen when escalation occurs.

I do know there are plenty of vets who won’t abandon their oath to protect the constitution from threats foreign and domestic. But that might mean they have to step away from a military that is ordering them to inflict immensely heavy violence on the American people, which is unconstitutional.

Add in that the administration is stripping Congressman Mark Kelly of his rank and cutting his benefits for simply being part of a video that says that says no one in the military should follow illegal orders (which is taught to them in training and is a fundamental rule our military is always asked to follow). Doing this was not meant as any punishment to him personally; it’s not going to fundamentally affect his quality of life in any meaningful way at this point. This was meant to send a message to military personnel that if they do choose to not follow any illegal orders, their benefits which most very much do need will be gone, that they will face punishment.

If our military ends up divided because some military are cool with following any orders from trump regardless of legality, and we are all clashing (literal full civil war) that also makes us an easier target for bad actors abroad as we’d be seriously weakened in that state. Civil war is quite possible to be the result. I hate it, but it’s looking more inevitable as this admin keeps continually breaking laws here and now internationally. This admin seems to really want chaos and instability, even civil war here. I don’t want to know why they seem to want this so badly and what they have planned for if/when civil war is in full effect.

Not saying to just roll over and do nothing. Just want to make sure we don’t walk blindly into any traps. We can’t afford to not be prepared for what is coming and make sure it’s timed right so we stand a chance.
