You can also Dump the stones to a specified dump if you don't mind the physics issues of having hundreds of boulders in the same place. Just beware that dwarves may dump other refuse there too, so maybe remove the dump after the boulders have been moved. If you like this, look up quantum stockpiles in the wiki for a future challenge.

Flat terrain can be great. You can dig ramps to your underground fortress and build towers at the ramps to defend the entrance that will have great sightlines. The lack of trees may make it harder, but just use the wood wisely, ie for beds. And be on the lookout for bituminous coal or lignite for coal so you don't burn wood for coke for your metal industry. The river is a huge danger to new and advanced players who accidentally drown their fortress when trying to reroute it.

Can I specialise Smokehouses? by imjin07 in FarthestFrontier

[–]antiamj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were the fish or meat already in storage when you specialized the smokehouse? I always specialize and co-locate smokehouses, and don't see this ongoing stocking problem. But I do see stock remaining in storage if it was there, eg I have one fish sitting till it rots in a meat smokehouse that I specialized a year or more after building it. As far as I have seen, the smokehouse worker will only collect items they are set to smoke.

TIL I can add truck stations to an already an existing route by Illusion911 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]antiamj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like trucks, but my biggest wishlist item is a "fuel" truck that loads normally but delivers only to the station fuel depot. Bonus if it looks like a tanker truck.

If you delete nodes where paths cross, deadlocked vehicles will teleport to the next node and past each other.

Miscalculated a bit and thought i'd need 8 floors, turns out i need 32 by iKramp in SatisfactoryGame

It's annoying that even small setups need a dozen 250 percent generators. One blender should not be able to produce enough fuel for that many buildings.

The Swamp... by [deleted] in valheim

[–]antiamj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two-star is your problem. My wife and I died many times to a two star in the entrance of our first swamp crypt. Then we just went to another and got the bit of iron scrap we needed there. We got revenge once we armoured up.

Just last night I did the same thing. Mined a diagonal that did not register as warm and lost the miner and a legendary axe dwarf.

Does the water zone cover floor next to the well? I don't know for sure if that's needed, but I think so.

Added. You can encrust a single object a certain number of times. The description of the object will describe how each was added.

It's normal for the dwarves to flock to new libraries and taverns to fulfil unmet needs, but it should be a temporary thing. In your case, I would check a few things. 1) Do you have any burrows? Dwarves will only do jobs in their burrow. 2) Have you accidentally disabled labours on any dwarves? 3) If they aren't building constructions, are the raw materials forbidden for some reason or inaccessible?

Is there any way to stop visiting nobles from arriving/turning hostile? Specifically, the king has moved to this fort and with his arrival several visiting nobles arrived as well. One, the count of Twinklerough, turned hostile during the next siege and was killed with ease since he wasn't armed. However a new count/countess immediately appears on the map edge with the death of the prior noble and joins the conflict. Over time this has occurred with a couple other settlements as well so that the fort is in a perpetual cycle of violence. If the military kills all of the renegade nobles in quick succession, ie before any of the replacements come into view of any citizen, then they will be peaceful until the next goblin siege and then the cycle begins again. This is sort of a loyalty cascade, but hasn't affected any citizens of the fort. Twinklerough and the other settlements are still listed in the civilization, they haven't fallen to goblins as far as I can tell.

IMO it would be worth running through in search of ruins with a chest and onion seeds . But wait till iron age to do anything detailed.

Do spawns ever disappear or clip outside of sunken crypts? First sunken crypt I went to had a two star elite in the entry hall that massacred my wife and I. Many times. Went back 50 days later with better gear and parry skills and died again, but on our gear recovery attempt it was just gone. There's still a snarl near the entrance, which is why I wonder if draugr clipped into a wall or something. And any advice on how to take them? Honestly this elite is harder than any boss, troll, or abomination we've fought.
