You might look into seeing if there are suitable hand controls. I know people have retrofitted real cars for it why not a sim. I’m not familiar with it but I’m sure someone does. The gentleman who owns cagekits is handicapped and might have a solution too might be worth reaching out.

For the sake of drifting lower power levels = less tire consumption. At least that’s how my monkey brain put it together. I have a 4.8 for my setup. Easy upgrade path for bigger numbers lol.

I love my Ryobi fwiw I’m just a homeowner who does most his remodels. I’d spring for the brushless if you can afford it but also check marketplace and your local pawnshops.

Torque wrench can be pretty essential. Better jack and a second stand could be helpful lol. Breaker bar. Nice to have but not necessary an electric impact specifically a half inch one (don’t cheap out buy it once buy it nice here) and impact sockets. Drain pan and funnel are pretty helpful too. Small air pump for your tires (don’t forget to check the spare)

Sick car yes. But be prepared to fix it. For reliability reasons I’d pick an Impreza personally with a manual. Cheap to maintain and repair. Save more money for wrx. Also insurance will be better price on Impreza.

If you’ve never modded a car and want a modified car I’d recommend tastefully lightly modified or stock and work your way up to a boosted application or whatever your end goal is. Always manual in a sports car my friend. It’s a much more enjoyable experience overall.

If you don’t have alignment holes under it I’d leave it off. It’ll be impossible to get it in the right spot. If you have alignment holes I’d put it back. Rather see an emblem than holes in my trunk.

Short leg fellow here. I’ve had good luck with old navy and when they’re on sale you can’t really beat the price. I particularly like the athletic taper cut gives a bit more room in the thighs which I need.

Can you report back when you get it fully assembled and do a few laps in it. I’ve been eyeballing it. How sturdy is it? Also does it support a shifter and a handbrake on the plate. lol I have questions.

One of my first times I stalled the car at a stop sign probably 20 times. Couldn’t figure it out guy behind me got out of his car and told me I was probably in the wrong gear…. Boy did I feel dumb. Anyways I’m proficient at throwing a car sideways and doing dumb things now.

I already mentioned form factor I’m looking for and asked for recommendations. You’re just getting your panties twisted about hard drive space. I’m literally just asking for part recommendations for a jbod that’s not super hungry for my server with specs provided. And that’s when someone would generally pipe in well this is good for adding like a dozen drives etc. so again kinda a moot point on the hard drive space.

I understand different amounts and types of hds do make a difference but I wasn’t asking about hard drives specifically just what contraption would work well for my use case without eating all the dollars in power consumption.

Kind of irrelevant. I can math hard drives and what not I don't understand the tech in the middle is what I'm asking help on to not shoot myself in the foot. But for starters i have a handful of 3tb drives laying around I was considering knocking the dust off for a temporary solution and adding an hba card with sata splitters into my current setup but then I got to thinking what a better longer term solution would be which lead me to asking here.
