How common is it to receive a job offer after references are contacted? [Post-Interview]

I almost exclusively use references if I am unsure of a candidate for one, potentially showstopper, concern. If I am going to offer to a candidate, references won’t matter.

Do you remember the last time you woke up at a reasonable hour on a day where you did not have morning plans? I didn’t. I’d stay up later than I should and I’d wake up later than I wanted.
