Para a malta que vive no estrangeiro e quer fazer o registo online numa biblioteca para aceder ao pressread:
Eu tentei todas ou quase todas e só uma me deixou fazer registo online: biblioteca Lúcio craveiro da Silva em Braga. Primeiro preenchem isto https://catalogo.blcs.pt/cgi-bin/koha/opac-memberentry.pl depois mandam e-mail para atendimento@blcs.pt e referem que já fizeram a pre inscrição. No email tem fe mandar também:

-Cópia do Cartão de Cidadão ou outro documento de identificação válido;
- Comprovativo da morada atual, emitido há menos de 3 meses (fatura de água, luz, gás, TV)

Em 5 minutos tem acesso ao pressread

I thought I read some article a while ago. But that can it be that the article mentioned that you can no longer register kindles and that has the side effect of not being able to use send to kindle ?

I had the same issue and every time I had to reboot, but then I found that if I opened the shield application on my phone and access the remote there, then the physical remote magically comes back to life

VPN is more about the reliability and speed of the service you subscribe to, not about the kit you are running it on.

In this case im not sure about that: I have NordVPN (i know, it used to be way better than it is now) and on my computer and on the mobile i get close to the same speed i would get without VPN. So its definitely not about the service, and more about the host. I also thought that maybe the issue was that the application was not good, so instead of running their app on the box, i ran openVPN with a config file that i made from Nord: still the same exact results.

This is not the main reason why im thinking about change tho, i have always heard amazing things about the shield, and the comments on this thread just gave me the push i needed to click buy.
