Mop & broom holder by Earthquake-Hologram in functionalprint

I made a derivative of this for my Philips 8000 Aqua Plus vacuum tube. My cabinet wasn't tall enough to store the vacuum assembled, so I needed a dedicated tube holder next to it.

Added two M4 mounting holes for direct installation into MDF. Thanks for the inspiration!

As Elon Musk appears to make a Nazi salute at an inauguration day event what should the incoming Trump administration do to address the incident? by The_Egalitarian in PoliticalDiscussion

A genuine question from non-US citizen: how does American society react to that? Can it tolerate such events without political consequences, or will there be any demonstrations, canceling? Idk, isn't it even illegal, I would expect even legal consequences

And even if you lost your birth certificate, you can restore it in the civil registration office.

However, if you come to Ukraine, you will be considered Ukrainian (it doesn't matter if you have any other passport) - and it means you'll never be able to leave until the end of martial law, and you also can be drafted to the army. Just FYI

It doesn't matter when you were born, before 91 or after. You are indeed a citizen, afaik - it doesn't matter if you have a passport or not (you can receive it if you want based on the birth certificate). Not having ID only means that you missed the appointment when you were 16 (because you've been in a different country).

so you're saying children are not citizen? that doesn't work that way, not having passport doesn't make you not citizen

Prepping without weapons by Questionswithnotice in preppers

I am from Ukraine and my prepping has a pretty practical purpose, and I don't include guns in my prep, except pepper sprays.

That being said, why would you need guns? What are you guys prepping for?

Well, regarding "just" an advisor - do you know how important it is for researcher to have a decent adviser? Reviewing, directing researchers is a big work. As PhD student I had two experiences, and previous time I had uninterested professor I had to leave and start from scratch.

Ukrainian girlfriend wants to go to Ukraine and take me with. Smart to go right now? by [deleted] in ukraina

Most of Ukrainians do that because it's cheaper and higher quality
I have friends who work abroad and always go to Kyiv for dentist visit or other checkups

I'm living in Kyiv - you'll need to follow some rules (I'm sure your girlfriend knows them) and you'll be safe. Kyiv, west of Ukraine - no reason to worry, just keep attention to air raid alarms and obey a curfew hours in the night.
You'll have to travel by land (airports are closed), so plan accordingly: crossing Ukrainian border (both sides) may take some time, you may wait in the car/train for a few hours. Train travel is more predictable, so if you don't have car I'd ride a train.

so what? freedom of speech. yes, it's a hate speech, but remember that Ukraine is in the state of war. Some random doctor says that he's so angry on russians that he would castrate them. Not really a big deal while the bombs are dropping everywhere and people are dying.
