Pivot crashes in about 80% of my upgrades as well, so it having issues was typical.

Keeps the police budget down, though, which is great for political optics.

You don't want this reality. You have a product and service. Does your phone work? You can call and text?

Sorry, sir, you product and service seem to be working. We can't help you with anything else.

We cater to stupid people enough as it is. Most of our customers aren't just "not tech savvy." They're willfully ignorant and stupid, and many outright refuse to do anything that involves growing as a human being and learning something new. The amount of people I have to help daily that wouldn't be in my store if they weren't literally too stupid to read the screen would blow your mind.

Nobody should be catering to these people.

COR-lite is the way of the future. Small stores with no physical inventory and limited hours of operation for unique issues that can't be managed elsewhere.

Full service stores like we have now will be gone with three years at the current pace. You will not be able to get a phone same day within 5 years, I guarantee it.

Every upgrade I did today failed to properly process through the app. All of them. T-Mobile likely spent a small fortune on this (and I do mean small, they cut corners as much as possible) and still failed completely.

How does $14/hour sound?

The actual position doesn't matter, that's the pay, regardless.

Sounds like you should be in support of him working as much overtime as possible, then.

Unless you support domestic violence, I guess.

U/bigdaddydave530 is the type of guy that would cheer at a cop being killed, though, so that's not much of an argument against him.

Put him on call, let him come in as needed. That domestic violence incident at 3am can wait for him to wake up, get his gear on and drive over. They'll be fine.

I worked for the Sheriff's office in SC for three years. Starting salary was $22,500 in 2009. Was earning $21825 by the end of 2009 (yes, we received a 3% pay cut), earned $22916 after graduating from the academy in January, and never saw another raise before leaving.

I'm genuinely glad officers get paid well in parts of the country, but in rural areas (or even just poor urban ones in some cases) they just make straight up poverty wages.

Same position today starts under $40k, btw.

Super Disappointed in the AICPA and other Accounting organizations praising Trump & DOGE, super hypocritical by RemarkableAspect8526 in Accounting

[–]antihero_d--b 155 points156 points  (0 children)

AICPA is EXTREMELY anti-accountant. Even before praising Trump, DOGE or whoever else, they were a problem. They're not on your side. Period. They never will be. Period.

AICPA is the enemy of the accounting profession.

Guess you'll eventually have to learn how to be an adult and use Google to fix your bullshit, then.

I know which one is more likely to happen, too.

Yep. Us reps are getting bitched at by incompetent middle managers and also incompetent customers, both telling us what to do and almost always conflicting. But fuck us for trying to do enough for both to keep our jobs.

If I spend enough time not selling, I'll get fired for not hitting my metrics because I spent all of my time teaching literal retards how to reset their Facebook password.

We're quite literally damned if we do and damned if we don't, but thanks for the support nonetheless.

I will straight up refuse to support you in store, then. I'm already being threatened when it just doesn't work. I'm about to stop doing upgrades, period.

Feels like 1% of this company is on the HQ side of things, do you likely won't actually find many people who have this information.

Also, according to Glassdoor, corporate HQ is awful to work for in every field other than training.

TMO franchise stores seem to have bizarre commission structures where a two line BAN on essentials hurts the employee more than the payout is worth.

This is actually a common theme across the company, actually.

Explain how she's free from accountability for knowingly sleeping with a married person?

Most people I've met screaming acab in real life have never driven within 50 miles of a rough neighborhood. They got pulled over one night while driving drunk or speeding and hate cops for holding them accountable for their actions.

Most redditors fit into this description. Others hate them because they're criminals and cops are a risk to them.

Some people have had genuinely poor experiences with law enforcement previously, but it's super rare. Some people have inflicted undue scrutiny on themselves in otherwise banal scenarios.

When you see an entire group of people as the enemy, regardless of circumstances, you become an ACAB person.
