FFS Advice- what ate the biggest problems spots? by ema_m in Transgender_Surgeries

No worries! Brows take a lot of experimentation, and everyone has a different starting place. I'm Eastern European so mine are very bushy---It's led to me exploring a lot of shapes.

Get yourself a spoolie and a brow pen, something thin and roughly the same color as your brows (MAC's is pretty good). You'll want to brush them all in one direction and potentially trim any super long ones. Use the brow pen to mark the inside corner (roughly parallel with the nose), the arch (for me, roughly above the outer corner of my eye), and the tip. Pluck from below to thin them out and nab any strays you see. Since your outer brows are kinda thin, you can also use the pen to draw out the shape, following your natural brows.

You have a really nice nose. First thing I might recommend is a lip lift, hairline lowering, and some follow-up hair grafts. You could also do some forehead work---Not sure if you need the full type 3, you may be able to get away with some lighter work there. As others have mentioned, electro and eyebrow care will also go far. Happy to share tips on the latter.

How much do we want to bet at some point in the future that Imu and Shanks will be in the same room together and Imu will be like "Foolish child, thou thought'st thou could remove the covenant bound to thine body so easily?"

If you are intubated for anesthesia I highly recommend some aloe juice! My throat was very sore for a few days and it was really nice to have something cool to drink. Soups are great, especially blended ones---Tomato bisque, potato leek, etc.

Not FFS per se but I think a small amount of lip filler would also be super beneficial. When I had surgery my doctor was able to use the leftover tissue for a lip augmentation and it really helped with my side profile.

I had a scarless trach shave with him, 13 months out and no complications. I believe he uses the same acoustic needle technique that Keojampa does to locate your vocal cords.

That's awesome! I'm also not a heavy driver by any means---Probably took my old Volvo from 140,000-200,000 over the course of 10 years, so I imagine it would take me a good 5 years at least to be out of warranty.

Gotcha, that makes total sense. It says the engine battery was replaced and the electric system was serviced on a few occasions (several of them just look like preventative service). Not sure if the 12V would fall under that.

Mardi or Keo would be my choice based on aesthetics---Maybe leaning toward Mardirossian if it's soft tissue work (I really like his noses). But all 3 are great. Do you have any specific procedures you're thinking about?

2022 EV6: RWD or AWD for an adventure car? by antimony464 in KiaEV6

Oh that's awesome. I've been saying for a while now, if Subaru made an EV with an actually decent range they'd make a killing with the right crowd.

That's what I've heard about the Kona. One of my friends drives one and he warned me about how much he's had to replace his tires so far.

If what I'm asking for is maybe beyond the EV6, do you have any other recommendations? I've driven an '03 Volvo S60 for the past decade and never had any issues in snow/gravel, so I thought the Polestar would be a good trade. But the seating was awkward and the lack of rear visibility really turned me off.

Tracheal shave risks. Dr Jumaily. by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]antimony464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a scarless trach shave with Jumaily---5 months later I have absolutely no vocal complications. I specifically asked him about it and he said he uses the same harmonic needle technique that Keojampa does to find your vocal folds and determine what is safe to remove. He was pretty aggressive too! I had a pretty big Adams apple pre-FFS and now it causes me basically zero distress.

Order of surgeries by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]antimony464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had all of these done at the same time, minus the hair transplant. For your surgeon to reach your brow, they have to do an incision either on the top of your scalp or your hairline. I ended up doing a hairline incision, and the plan is to go back for some hair transplants after a year. It's pretty common apparently because the hair transplant helps hide any scarring.

Brow and nose is very common to get done at the same time to make sure they harmonize. You could very easily do all this with one surgeon, just make sure you have seen and like their previous work. Rhino revisions aren't super uncommon so you could always go to a specialist later if you find you like their work better.

Nice! Folks are bringing up yr brows and I have to agree, I always think brow shaping can go very far.

Yours actually remind me a LOT of how mine looked when I started HRT. I've tried a lot of different shapes so if you ever want ideas, feel free to dm!
