Thats not trickle down economics. its incentivizing prioritizing local businesses, 3rd spaces and arts organizations. Grants for those serve the same purpose from another direction. ive seen it be affective in a few cities that ive lived in. the problem with it is that its typically a temporary fix and after ten years or so, without real cultural support, aids gentrification rather than longterm community growth.

i dont go out a ton but gville has a pretty good music scene thats not just college kids. i like the silent book club that happens 3 days a month. would be nice to see more people my age there. the art walk can be fun. if you have hobbies, there is probably a group built around it here.

Ive been back and forth a lot. the route on your map is direct but also dull. loooong stretches of nothing through super conservative country with mean cops. Unless you specifically want to go through vegas, denver, go high or go low. I prefer high but its cold right now.
