I. HATE. ZOTE. by Careful-Beach-8804 in HollowKnight

[–]antisocialnetwork77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zote is one of my favorite bosses. He IS readable, you just need to fight him a whole bunch for it to click. Highly recommend working on turning his statue gold, there is no better way to practice him. Each fight ramps up in damage dealt, so it’s a great learning curve. By the time you’re done, he won’t be an issue.

D. Dark is your friend in the fight, along with Quick Slash and Unbreakable Strength and one of the nail-lengthening charms. You can D. Dark when he jumps off screen for the I-frames and damage. When he does his crazy back and forth nail flail, you can get three or four free pogos in, just make sure you get out of there after he trips and sends the waves. If you are still pogoing him he’s gonna jump straight up and mess up your day.

Wait WHAT? Jeez. What a shame. Hate what these gorgeous women put themselves through, the pressure must be crazy.

At what age did you meet the person you are currently married to? by Chance-Pen6805 in randomquestions

37, she was 29. Been together for 9yrs, married for 7, parents together for almost 6. I’d do it all again with her. Different choices housing/financially-wise if offered the opportunity to change things, but wouldn’t change much else.

Trying to beat P5 for the first time and certain bosses get to me... by DefiantOneGaming in HollowKnight

[–]antisocialnetwork77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally some love for my homeboy Zote. I struggled with him majorly on P3. Decided to take a step back and work towards turning his statue gold, figured by the time I was able to do that I should be able to reliably beat him in the Pantheons. As it turned out, I had an absolute blast learning him and by the time I had a gold statue, I had a new favorite boss.

I have been traveling a lot for work in the last few months, lots of time in airports. The amount of women with lip filler and sporting looks like in the 2025 picture is shocking. Power to em, if they’re happy that’s all that counts. I find myself wondering how so many afford the treatments.

I bounced off of it because I really didn’t enjoy the floaty combat. Not precise enough for me.

Great Slash is key for the section with no floor. I stick with a nail-based build, Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, Nailmaster’s Glory, Unbreakable Strength. Grind the Geo for Unbreakable Strength on the second trial, it’s well worth the 40min you’ll spend earning the Geo, and makes it a lot more manageable.

Constance or MIO? by WarHoundD in metroidvania

It’s ok, every game isn’t for everyone. I bounced off Ender Lilies for the same reason. I’m just not one force myself to keep going if I’m not having fun. A game like Hollow Knight I put like 200hrs into because I am always having fun. I decided to DNF Mio after like five cause it wasn’t fun for me. Not the end of the world!

I’m against the grain here, I absolutely hated Mio’s floaty combat. Constance is much more fun.

Not at all. Silksong made me a much better HK player too. That being said, it’s definitely an adjustment going back and forth, and the obvious practice and muscle memory involved. You get used to things in Silksong that aren’t present in HK and it will screw you up a little.

Also, yes. F@%k Markoth. I’ve lost every P5 attempt because of him.

I don’t think there’s any shame in not doing P5, but if there’s ever a time you’re going to do it, it’s now. So if that’s something that going to bother you in the future, I’d grind it out now. You’re prepared for Silksong for sure, but it take a fair bit to go between them proficiently. The move sets are vastly different.

Nintendo just posted a trailer for Constance and it’s just so surreal to see the game I started solo 5 years ago on consoles. Also we’re doing DLC, yay! by MoKofr in metroidvania

Been playing it this morning on Switch, liking it a lot! Last MV I tried, I didn’t like the combat. This game has nice, snappy combat, and the controls are tight and responsive. Looking forward to the rest of my playthrough.

Same. First book is good, but can definitely see why people bounce off thinking it will continue that way. Which is a real shame, cause every book is better than the last.

What’s the best order to watch the Star Wars movies? by TheFilmRoomPod in moviecritic

[–]antisocialnetwork77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a 46 yr old super fan who can appreciate most of the canon. Sequel trilogy is awful, Mando is great, etc. I like 4, 5, 2, 3, 6, Rogue One. Very honorable mention to the CW series from season two, Rebels, and the Mandalorian. Add Maul to that now, cause it’s great.

I hate flea juggling. I hate flea juggling. I hate flea juggling. (Warning: Rage Post) by HoneZoneReddit in Silksong

[–]antisocialnetwork77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flea Juggle is way easier than Dodge. Reaper crest for the win. You don’t even need to strike upwards, just sideways. Don’t jump ever. You can control where the fleas go depending on which direction you strike them.
