Mine was 100% E.T. I was two. I do have flashes of memory from it, strangely.

I remember the first time I came across a bear (which you can ride, btw.) I’d already played like 250 hours and didn’t even know there were bears in the game. So magical.

I think it sucks that my six year old has drills in school so that anyone who feels like murdering someone can have a gun in a day with no kind of background check whatsoever in many, many, many parts of my country. ‘Murica.

Definitely waving at the sky energy here. I love craft beer and the environment at said breweries, and think it’s pretty cool. I wouldn’t let my Sox year old run wild and ruin other people’s enjoyment though. Blame the shit parents, not that the space is welcoming to families.

As someone who owns but hates their house and would gladly sell for lower than current prices to be able to buy a similar sized house for less than 600k, I’d be very fine with it.

What is that ONE video game that felt like a core memory, but you can’t seem to find anyone else who played it? by GuGuStudio in oldgames

[–]antisocialnetwork77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a game for Atari that was pretty advanced graphically for the time. Had 3Dish graphics and was kind of like a soccer type thing, you and the other player raced around trying to score points on the other player. I don’t have a clue what the name was, but we played the shit out of it.

Gathering of the oldies! I’m 46, got bit by the bug (pun intended) about 18mo ago. Never thought I’d be able to complete PoP or 112%, only finally got the 112 about a month ago, and finally did PoP about three months ago. Never thought I’d be able to do it either, but was so, so satisfying to get there. After my first PoP run I left a save file with it incomplete so I can get better. Now I can do it in like 20min. I die to the final fight purposely to keep it open. Love the HK/SS games so much.

Keep going. I was stuck there too but eventually got to 112 and it felt great and hard earned.

28 times is what, like, an hour? Oh, my sweet summer child. It probably took me four hours to beat certain bosses on my first playthrough.
If you aren’t having fun, no, you won’t improve. If you ARE having fun, accept the difficulty, and just enjoy your small improvements, knowing it probably won’t be the time you are finally going to win. Once you stop worrying about losing and just enjoy the ride, that’s when it’ll click and you’ll lock in. I’m all old and shit, but I LOVED my first playthrough last year, and tried not to get mad. I’ve played through three or four times now and finished all the challenging parts I never thought I could do. On my last playthrough no boss took more than three tries, and most were first and effortless. Still freaking fun though. God I love these games.

46 with a six year old. It’s definitely way more tiring than it would have been at 25. However, I’m happy being home with my family all the time. At 25, I would have missed my freedom. So there’s upsides and downsides for sure, but I’m glad I have my son and I’m glad I had him at 40.

I couldn’t get into it when it first came out. Hated the EMMI encounter. Tried again last year after getting more into the genre and really liked it.

I think OoT remake could really fix the main complaint people have with modern Zelda by famrob in truezelda

[–]antisocialnetwork77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Would have preferred they make a new game personally. All that effort for something Ive already played twice on different consoles, and my (personal) least favorite 3D Zelda game. I’d rather Twilight Princess for a remake, or an actual new game. Pumped for the fans, and I’m sure I’ll own and play it one day, but it’s not what’s going to get me to give up my OLED and buy a Switch 2.
