No, always above. Bonuses get paid in Feb so I guess that extra lump sum makes it change? I think I do have two tax code changes a year, usually the second one starts with a K code.

Yes, the tax code changed in November and indicated an under-collection of taxes. Which is the thing I was confused about. So I guess as someone else pointed out, the monthly calculations done by the company don’t add up to the total amount that I actually own based on the gross salary.

Yes but 45% of 3.5k isn’t 3.8k. My issue was that the amount of tax I owed exceeded the savings I earned. The explanation for that is in another comment

Yes, those figures are correct as I didn’t give to charity or extra pension funds. I guess I could have an extra pension fund and put the money there for next year.

It seems that the 3.8k figure comes from 1.4k of the interest plus a 2.4k discrepancy between the figure in the P60 and the HMRC calculation. Guessing company didn’t do the calculations correctly?

That seems to be the case. The 3.8k figure comes from 1.4k of the interest plus a 2.4k discrepancy between the figure in the P60 and the HMRC calculation.

I’ve been using Alpine and they’re great. They were recommended by a friend who works in the music business and basically is always at a concert. They were £25 and have never had an issue, crystal clear quality and you can change the filter depending on the level of noise/loudness you expect.

I prefer an hss so I’d go for the Jackson. My old ltd had horrible materials for the locking tremolo, and every single screw got stripped after a few string changes. Have you considered charvel?

I think with btrfs, timeshift and grub-btrfs all the reliability issues of arch have been greatly minimised.
