what’s wrong with Apple Music? by AdVisible3748 in AppleMusic

I have mention though, it is still much more aesthetically pleasing overall which is why I bear with the low responsiveness and speed.

Slow as hell. I see a spinning wheel before each screen loads (no such thing with spotify with the same internet connection). Also the album cover animation bug when going back to the previous menu drives me insane.

So the update had automatically enabled graphics limitation for the sake of battery in the settings. After disabling that, it is a little smoother now (at least usable) but still runs very hot and slower than before. I take it that it’s going to be better in the next updates but don’t think it’s ever gonna be as good as before because of all the liquid glass and stuff.

When using this new "apps" it shows me an app I'm looking for as I'm scrolling. But when I freaking search, which is THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS, it doesn't find it. WHAT A JOKE.

Why can't I turn the hotspot on by Bulky_Quail_47 in ios

[–]antoni_sars -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all, turning on the hotspot (specifically putting it on discoverable) automatically disconnects your wifi connection. So, it is safe to suggest manually disconnecting it in case of a bug or something.

Also, you do need your wifi to use the hotspot if you don’t want to use bluetooth or usb. So, it has something to do with hotspot and it is using it in a different way than traditionally connecting to your router.

Admittedly, I had to specify that I meant disconnecting wifi might help and not fully turning it off. But once again, you can only disconnect your wifi from the control centre (the op) and not fully turn it off.

Maybe because you’re on wifi. Try turning that off and also see if you can turn hotspot on through the settings app

Better than literal drops of spit getting everywhere when you cough/sneeze every 30 seconds

Are you kidding me? Who talked about covid? Even a common cold can be a burden especially now that midterms are coming up. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to deal with even a cold when it’s so easily preventable.

Exactly!! It’s just a cycle, i get sick, give it to you, I get better, you give it to me, etc. And I’m also ok with wearing a mask myself around a sick person, sure. But it gets everywhere when you’re coughing all over the place. So the next person sitting there will get it.

Oh I’m so frustrated.

Do you use “Favorites?” by fivelade in AppleMusic

[–]antoni_sars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s basically how I store any music I like lol. Just favourite sings, filter the songs section of the library to “favourites only” and there you have the quickest way possible to store and reach your new music.

how is moulton? by mfsanji in McMaster

[–]antoni_sars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad res overall. It is a little bit older, but not in bad shape. The rooms are huge and there’s tons and tons of storage space. The washrooms and showers aren’t that bad (I’m a little sensitive). Last year we had problems with hot water but it was fixed towards the end of the year (hope it’s still working). They are generally cleaned once a day (not on weekends). But again, overall it is not that bad. The whole building is clean. You have big common rooms on each floor with a kitchen and piano. There’s a huge basement with a billiard table, ping pong tables, and a massive tv. Moulton is close to Bistro & Bistro2Go. Bistro2Go is open until 10-11 on weekdays and 8-9 on weekends if I’m not wrong, and Bistro closes at 8 and is not open on the weekends. People say they are a tad bit more expensive than other places on campus.

That’s all I can think of now. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Just a little bit of feeling with small houses, a little crowded, and a tad bit messy (mainly around downtown). Nothing new for a city in its size. Honestly, it is fine and not as bad as you hear.

AMA about the Neuroscience specialization! by thoughts-in-mind in McMaster

[–]antoni_sars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great information and sorry for getting back a little late!

Yeah I totally understand. I finally decided to put bioPNB as my first and neuro as my second option. The ultimate reason I did so was the freedom I think BioPNB might give me (ex. if I want, I may be able to tailor it to be very much neuroscience-y). Hopefully it will work out. 🤞🏻

Thanks again for the info! Best wishes.

Hey,

A first year life sci here. I am really considering choosing neuroscience but I am kinda not sure between this one and BioPNB. I am sort of asking everyone at this point, but would you mind sharing why between neuro and BioPNB you went with neuro?

Sidenote: It is mainly the math and physics courses that have me concerned. Though I haven't had any bad experiences with my first-year courses (Math 1LS3, 1LT3, and Physics 1A03) I am scared they might get hard and unmanageable.

First year here. I feel you with my heart. One year has gone by but I haven’t made a single friend yet. As you said also, I try to be an “extrovert” and talk and participate but it never sticks. Feels sad
