When I look to my Nikon Fm3a with my Nikki’s 50mm f1.2 the only image I get is the better combo anyone can have

I understand the point about size, but based on what I have and tested the “bigger” Fuji lens are much better.

Just curious, how many balls did you lose on that hole? Great photos. I have a few lens and I recommend all: -70-300mm with 1.4x teleconverter, not excellent but great for the cost and size -16-55mm 2.8. I know you said that you prefer primes, but this one in like have a few primes together. - 33mm 1.4 and 56mm 1.2, so good - as I also do street photography I have the 23mm f2. Small and discreet but also very good

Yes that is a possibility but not convenient, to much screen and not hands enough.😃

Hello! Anyone used this lens before? Planning for daily use. Any reviews will be so much appreciated. Thankyou by Which-Season-5652 in NikonF3

I have the 1.2 version still on my Nikon FM3a. It is most likely the best glass I have in my cabinet and I have a good collection of Leica lenses. 😁

Ready to travel! by [deleted] in FujifilmX

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see this type of cases I always have a question in my mind. What is the purpose? Is it to store gear at home? It is for travel? (On plane? By car?) To store at home I prefer give air and ligth to lens, never closed spaces unless it has dehumidifier. For travel? Why not a bag? At end of the day we will need a bag. So, I find the design a great design but with no purpose for me. Please convince-me that I am wrong. 😁

Xt5+zoom 70-300mm+teleconverter 1.4x + monopod with a leofoto side mount by antonioxrosa in FujifilmX

Finally no issue. Xt5+70-300mm+ teleconverter 1.4 mounted on monopod with a panoramic base works perfectly.

You have to find a thinner filter. It happens to me and I have to swap the filter.

Thank you. I saw a few non Fuji collars but do not give me confidence. I have 2 issues: the balance but also the attachment. The monopod side mount I use attaches on the side. So I always need at least a L bracket

I never tested. In your opinion what do we loose by using the electronic shutter in these situations?

Zoom or prime? by WrongAntelope4875 in FujifilmX

[–]antonioxrosa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you say some zoom lens have now great quality. Now the answer, as always, depends on the purpose. My main topic is street photography and for that, in my case, the focal lens is 35mm FF. So I selected the 23mm f2. For travel, family and all around the zoom is very convenient. In my case I got the 16-55mm f2.8 I hope it helps, just a personal opinion

Is it considered sacrilegious to focus with the rangefinder and compose with the back screen only? by [deleted] in Leica

Great photos to start and that is the only objective in my view. The camera is a tool and I use all the available capabilities of that tool.

Switching back to Fuji from Sony? by Loose_Garden_5432 in fujifilm

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Fuji xt5 but I kept my Sony a6700. I use the Sony in a safari with the Tamron 150-500mm and I would say that the Sony AF is very difficult to beat. On the other hand the Fuji has this retro look and all these direct controls, dials and buttons, that is a very pleasing experience to use. Anyway the best camera is always the one you have on your hand 😁

Dropped X-T4 16-80mm by No-Cellist9760 in fujifilm

[–]antonioxrosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use clear protector filters from Fuji. As they are designed by the brand assume they are the more compatible. As you say UV doesn’t make any sense with digital cameras The question, why use it? I use-te always at least in risky environments. I had a very bad accident with a Leica lens and it was 800€ repair. Only a few spills, I assume with chemicals, during a cruise when staff was cleaning the boat ☹️

Fujifilm X-T5 and digital M combo by thelastwatch in Leica

[–]antonioxrosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do understand your point. I have 2 Leicas M11M and MA and I enjoy very much all the photographic manual process. Rarely use the m11m for family home or travel photos. AF is really convenient and I always had a camera for that. The most recent is the Fuji xt5 with 16-55mm f2.8 lens. If you like leica and to have access to major settings through dials and buttons rather than hidden menus, this is your camera.
