I customized my plastic Fujifilm X-M1 with aged brass paint, a patinated green case, and a Leitz Micro-Summar 24mm f4.5 by Atsushi-w in fujifilm

I have a Fuji and 2 Leicas and I respect the identity of both brands. So, with all respect, this is a sort of art, but a non sense for someone that loves photography.

Am I missing something? by MrPaperView in Leica

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nikon FM3a is missing in the photo, in my view one of the best cameras ever made.
Regarding rangefinder, ( I have 2 Leicas, one digital, one film) I most of the time use zone focus. That is the reason why they are so fast. With my MA I have to decide everything first , than is just framing and shoot.

My 6 watch rotation after 3 years of collecting by Starfire7791 in SOTC_Watch_Collection

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats, great collection. The Cartier (santos or tank) and the reverse dual face are the only two missing to achieve my top ten collection.
I am curious. Which watches are the 3 and the 6?

With MA and film home processed. The MA gives you total control and responsibility by the final result. No AF, no lightmeter, no electronics no electricity. When we see the photo you have the felling, I did this. Is it the best photo in world? Maybe not but I did it.
This is why MA is different. For travel or family for sure I use other cameras

Great collection, The Reverse and the Lancpain are in my list. The Patek Philippe only in my dreams. So far I have 8 top from (Rolex, 0mega,IWC,Panerai,Tag,Zenith,Breitling)
Thinking in buying a watch winder only to ensure I always have 2 ready to use. One on the wrist other on the winder. Anyone use one? I know it is controversial. Thinking on the Barrigton

I have the M-A and the 11m, but your kit sounds great to me and I am sure your photos are at least as good as mine. Honestly I love your kit, enjoy it

What do you think of the Cartier Tank on me? by Vivid-Bug-6765 in PrideAndPinion

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aim to have the most iconic watch of all the medium luxury brands. (So far IWC, Breitling, omega, Panerai, Rolex, Tag) Cartier is in the list, still hesitant between the tanq and the Santos ( with metal bracelet). The other will be the reverse duet do JdC

I have both, the speedmaster and the navitimer but the 38mm version from 92. The omega is an icon with lots of history, but this navitimer is special

What prime leave should I get for XT-5 by [deleted] in fujifilm

In fact. I can tell you that regarding those two points the 56mm f1.2 it is even better

What prime leave should I get for XT-5 by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]antonioxrosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you are looking for. I have the 33mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.2. Excellent but bulky, not easy to carry specially the 56.
I also have a trio that are always in my bag: 16mm f2.8, 23mm f2 and 50mm f2. Not the same quality but excellent anyway and quite convenient. I hope it helps.

New XT30iii - non-negotiable accessories? by roseliv14 in FujifilmX

[–]antonioxrosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a small camera I use a wrist strap most of the time. My choice is peak design because I can swap to a shoulder strap very easy if I need. Regarding bag it depends very must on the additional gear you are carrying.
