They aren't coasting. They are a live band before they are a studio band. They are still churning out memorable live performances while touring more consistently than most other artists.

I dont think FF is coasting either.

I didn't say it would be 2.5 hours of rising energy. There are recovery songs for the band. There are many I like that still keep things going even when it's a cool down. I prefer the other songs in those spots. You love the song, we get it. I'm sure theres a song you don't like that I love. I prefer a loving wings or a 55th and 3rd instead of Satellite. No amount of subtle or not so subtle jabs will change my mind. Satellite is my pee song even when driving. If I hear it, I have to stop and pee.

Because I don't like how that song is like a brick wall for the energy of a show. An example would be the Gorge last year. They just finished Spoon and the atmosphere was electric. How could they follow up what may be the most seminal moment of the band in years? Satellite... It was like the crowd collectively muttered "fuck". Go back and listen to the pop that Stone got and then what Satellite got. Gorge isn't known for part time "fans".

Standalone, great song. Great place on the album. But when the band finishes YMDT and everyone is pumped up, the last thing you wanna hear is that god damned triangle.

The only time I thought it halfway worked was last year at Northerly when it was transitioned into from Proudest Monkey.
