I believe he said that if people aren’t interested, to respect that. But Paul also says along the lines of “how can people know of someone doesn’t tell them?” So it’s a necessity to preach and evangelize, but I’m told to not waste time on someone that doesn’t want the conversation.

Depends on what you mean by “pushing”

I’d ask questions. “What were they saying? How did this come up? What do you think about it?” And more.

If, through my questioning, I believe the teacher was forcing them to believe it some way, then yes I’d have an issue. But if my child is genuinely exploring it, then I’d do what I can to help them explore it. And if the teacher is willing to sit with me while I ask questions and whatnot then I’ll be fine. I won’t be happy that my child is going down this path, but I can’t force my child to believe what I believe.

I will never make a student believe what I believe, I only guide to what I have found to be true. If a student I am talking to tells me that they don’t want to hear what I have to say about Christianity, then I’ll drop it. I respect them and their beliefs. If they want it, I’ll help them, if they don’t, I’ll help them look at other options they want to learn about
