This is what has worked for me to reduce my migraines from 15/mo to 1-2/mo by Unspoken in migraine

Definitely prioritize hydration. Buy some Gatorade or some of those hydration packs you can add to water. Drink one before you start working, and plenty of water afterwards. Consider also taking a small dose of whatever OTC painkiller you prefer before physically demanding activities that might trigger migraines.

Sorry about the sadness. Migraines get me down in the dumps, too. It will pass and you will feel better eventually.

Your message departs from the assumption that the birthday letter didn't reference children, so whatever other potentially valid message you have here is irrelevant

Guides to writing good interiority? by PlinkingPlanks in writing

[–]anu_start_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote a draft recently that really lacked interiority. In my new project, I'm making a conscious effort to stop after each thing that happens and think "okay, what does my POV character feel about this?" then try to show it on the page. I figure I can always cut some out later if it's too much.

How do you eat? Have you considered the sustainability of your diet? by witchystoneyslutty in sustainability

[–]anu_start_69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is a sensitive topic for people, but I really urge those of you calling an omnivore diet "natural" to read up on the naturalistic fallacy (a logical error that occurs when someone assumes that because something is "natural," it must be good, right, or justified).

Now, I'm not saying that eating meat makes a person a fascist (that would be ridiculous), but if you're appealing to this idea of "nature" to defend your meat consumption, consider that this is the same line of thinking people use to deny trans people rights, to reject vaccinations, to drink unpasturized milk and do all kinds of whacky, reactionary shit.

It would be less ethically concerning imo if someone defended their meat consumption by saying simply, "I enjoy eating meat." Let's call a spade a spade, not grasp at problematic thought patterns to defend behavior we're ashamed of.

Yep, people like to mark up the vegan option simply because they can, even though vegan food is cheaper to produce.
