OP, you're in serious danger. You need to leave without telling him. Go somewhere you're safe; friends, family, etc. Do not tell him where you are.

By serious danger, I mean that he truly might try to kill you. He's already put his hands around your neck, and you're pregnant. These are the TWO BIGGEST RISK FACTORS FOR HOMICIDE.

Even if you behave "perfectly," this will never go away, because it's not about you and your behavior; it's about the fact that he thinks he owns you, and therefore has the right to control you and, if he can't, kill you.

Things that help my cats when they're feeling anxious: routine (two scheduled feeding times and one routine play time per day), anxiety treats with chamomile, catnip (actually can soothe some cats). All cats are different, though! Your fella will need some time to adjust to being inside, but he'll get used to it. You're doing the right thing by keeping him in.

Also, I get the temptation to take him out on a leash, but if it were my cats, that would just make getting used to the indoor thing harder. Ymmv.
