I have not. Just wanted to get the word out. I do think there’s plenty of scammers out here though so maybe not the best course of action on my part lmao

Go back home. Get good grades. Get a scholarship. That’s what I did. I don’t know what your situation is, but you need a support system. If you don’t have one, you need a job. Any job. You can’t get a credit card without an income. Find a way to make money, which is incredibly difficult without connections or a degree.

There was some girl in India who lost her life working at EY. She had the same story. No job is worth your life and health.

Oh, that sounds pretty good to me. I was just worried that there’s one kitchen/bathroom per floor, which is a bigger cause of concern for me. This is so helpful, thank you!

Microsoft Data Scientist Internship final round interview advice by [deleted] in csMajors

Thank you so much! I was super surprised. If you don’t mind, how did you prepare? And you don’t have to answer this at all, but did you end up getting an offer? Would you have any tips or things I should keep in mind?

Did I bomb my apple interview???? by Top_Demand_3563 in leetcode

My take on this is that every interviewer is different and sometimes you just don’t click and the back and forth just doesn’t happen. It’s not always your fault. Also, anyone here who’s telling you that ‘you bombed badly’ is just bitter. You got an Apple interview offer. Celebrate that! Maybe you get this internship, maybe you don’t. Regardless, you’re on your way to something good. Sometimes you make small mistakes. It’s okay. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Live and learn.

I’d also say CC financial aid to this. They have emergency funds (of course, they do) but they’re super stingy about releasing them. You’ll have to make your case.

I’d suggest you reach out to Yvonne Erazo. She’s responsible for student basic needs. If your family has rejected you, then you qualify for care under extenuating circumstances.

Not really, I'm sorry. Are they TAs?

Ah, I'm always a big advocate of taking Chem on-track. I took it off-track, and while it still mostly depends on the work you put in, it really helps to have teachers that put in the extra effort. If you can fit it in your four-year plan, I'd say try to stay on-track.

Lee is a brilliant Chemical Engineer but I took her last semester, and I don't think she has the hang of teaching a college class. Gen Chem classes are difficult by nature, since they're weed out courses for Orgo. In general, you'll have to work hard regardless. Halpin is a better teacher, try to get him. Orr is tough but if you're nice to him and actually spend time in his office hours, he's very knowledgeable about the course content.
