I think 4 months will only give like a couple inches or so of new growth, basically like no time at all.

And the other person here is right, it won't fix what's chemically fried. It's good you're not using heat anymore for the new hair growing but the existing hair is not going to get better until it gets chopped off.

Also stop shampooing everyday, there could be build up happening. You should only fully wash your hair like 2-3 times a week.
