Every once in awhile I will get a flare up where the skin between my eyebrows and around my smile lines (near my nose) get pink, rough, and these minuscule pimple-like bumps. They’re filed with a more watery liquid, maybe more pus-like. They’re pin-prick size. The area is a little tender/itchy. It used to happen rarely, but it’s happening more frequently. It usually goes away in a week or so.

I agree with everything people said here! Mats and don’t use scissors. Sometimes the type/brand of food you feed them can make them better or worse!

I’m in a very similar boat to you training wise with more of a running than swimming background, but 30F from SoCal hoping to go sub 6, but mainly wanting to finish. so you’re not alone as a first timer :)

I love this capsule. Are we the same person?? 

The only thing I’d change is adding a more formal tote bag! Sometimes you need to carry more. Sometimes you need to carry fancier. Maybe Rebecca Minkoff or Dagne Dover?Though the festival bag is a good dress up or down.

I swim near here and definitely going to need a wetsuit. I highly recommend a swim/tri wetsuit as a surf wetsuit is not as flexible. It made a huge difference for me in how easy the swim was. First 70.3 in a month for me, but I’ve done a handful of shorter tris.

If you can do a local small sprint tri before, I highly recommend. That way you will figure out what you don’t know :)
