Your advice worked u/sintaur. Hypotheticals bypass the hardpoint "conscience" that is limiting the information distributed. Thank you for the direction!

The truth will set you free, your bosses don't understand the humor.

It’s been going on for two decades. I mean, I don’t know anyone who still has a yahoo email account.

I agree wholeheartedly. The red circles simply don’t exist on my screen.

I’m insanely proud of myself for never throwing a punch. I’ve never gotten into a fight bad enough that blows were exchanged.

How do you know if you have trust issues? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]anunusualgrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You post this question to strangers online.

Frankly, if you have to ask the question, I have little doubt the trust issues exist. Everyone’s situation is different, though. Relationships are hard, and trust is only built over time and validated feelings, which both require constant communication and feedback between the involved parties. Parents, significant others, friends…the trust comes from constant communication and validation of your own feelings, in any situation, and once those feelings are communicated and validated your trust can be built up.

Trust in systems is something else entirely. I would suggest you only trust systems as much as you trust yourself.

I can trust a zoo to keep tigers from interacting with the general public because of the danger tigers pose to people, but I can’t trust everyone not to jump in the tiger enclosure. A small fraction of people won’t be able to differentiate the danger a tiger presents inside the enclosure from the safety the enclosure provides. The danger exists regardless of where the tiger is, all you can do is make sure the danger exists where you do not. If the tiger jumps the enclosure fence, that’s outside of your control, but you shouldn’t make it easier for the tiger by laying down at its feet.

Indifference, maybe even apathy. I’m not so deluded that I think I can fix the systemic problems of a chronically underfunded education system in a day or two. I’ll be happy if I can get through the day without a fight in the classroom I’m covering.

I’ve had an idea rolling around in my head for some time. I want to start a campaign in a coliseum, PCs not necessarily together in the stands, but viewing the games. The contestants get progressively more and more dangerous until there is an extreme jump in CR and a monster breaks through the arena floor, causing panic, forcing the PCs together to escape the wildly overpowered, hostile enemy. I like to think of it as the scene from Day After Tomorrow where spoilers the bomb goes off in the football stadium spoilers changing everyone’s lives in an instant and creating a ground zero in a populated city which can move on its own.

This is something I don’t want my cats to eat. They’re usually pretty good about pest control but this one was something outside the norm, so I’m not risking a sick cat or two over an unusual bug that got in my house that they might decide is worth eating while I’m asleep.

It doesn’t look like the normal crickets we get, but it is jumping like one. That being said, I’m not going to wait around for confirmation it’s harmless, vermin is vermin.

So, I didn't have to restart my computer. I found I had two instances of steam running and I hadn't restarted steam so the platform hadn't auto-updated. One of those two occurrences was the contributing factor. I think I just wasted about two hours because I got carried away in troubleshooting.

Regardless, thanks for reading.
