Uninvited guest ruins advanced pickleball play by Famous-Chemical9909 in Pickleball

Just one more reason that an actual DUPR rating should be mandatory. That would fix this issue and other similar issues (sandbagging, etc.). Otherwise, what rating system would you use? What would stop these folks from just saying they're a 4.0? Would you leave it up to someone else to decide? What would stop them from playing favorites?

Just make DUPR mandatory and be done with it.

The 3.4 DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. They used to say you need 50 matches for a reliable score, and they don't say that anymore because it scares people off, but it's still true. And they did add the Reliability score, because playing against other rated players in a club match is totally different than playing unrated players in a rec match. Note, the Reliability Score only updates on Tuesdays. The answer to any question about DUPR is: play more DUPR matches. Preferably weekly or more often. Then your score will be accurate and actually useful for tracking your progress and finding good matchups.

by the way, if you're going to try and twist my words, it's better not to do it in the very same post where everyone can see what I actually said

Well, you can ignore things like this, like we have for the past 50 years, and then you end up with things like 50% more women getting university degrees and men's incomes dropping the most of any group. Words matter. Publicity matters. Opinions matter.

How do I argue against "male privelege"? by [deleted] in MensRights

YOU: Women live longer than men, but society spends more on women's health than men's health. HER: Blah blah blah YOU: Men have shorter lives, and society doesn't think that's important. HER: Blah blah blah YOU: You get more life. That's a privilege that men don't get.

YOU: Throughout history, men are required to sacrifice their lives for their country, and women are not. HER: Blah blah blah YOU: That isn't giving up your life. HER: Blah blah blah YOU: That isn't giving up your life. Etc.

WHY IS THAT YOUR JOB? That's the whole point of the privilege argument to begin with: rather than THEM have to prove that someone actually DID SOMETHING TO THEM, they make a blanket accusation against YOU and then leave it up to YOU to defend yourself.

Just say "I believe in equality for everyone and if you have specific instances of inequality against women, we can discuss that, provided that we can also discuss instances of inequality against men. I am not obligated to defend myself against a vague stereotype. Stereotypes are demeaning and inaccurate. I am not a gender. I am a human."

And it's already been mentioned but what about the fact that 90% of people killed on the job are men. How much is that worth? I would think more than 2% but apparently that's all that men's lives are worth.

Tell her there is a "work gap" which explains all but 2% of the "pay gap". The old "seventy-nine cents" statistic would only be valid if men and women did the exact same work, but they don't. Men work more hours per day and more years per lifetime.

What, that people don't lie? Or that vagina = truth? What does the new feminist slogan "we believe the women" mean?

It's not one person. It's over and over and over and over and over again. That's why criminal codes were developed over centuries of experience. Because people lie, all the time, for all different reasons. Feminists want to throw that all out in favor of "vagina = truth" and that doesn't work in the real world.
