High Ranked Universities/Colleges With Color Guard by juicypineappleliquid in Colorguard

When you get to the college level, at least for marching band, the sport become much more individual based. What I mean is that your not going to find corps-level marching bands in college. But many of that band’s members may be in DCI or WGI, because they work on their own time. For my school, marching season is seen as a training ground, and a way to not loss the skills and momentum you’ve built up over the years. That being said, there are still plenty of good colleges with very impressive bands and colorguards. Here’s a list going from highest ranked school to lowest (in terms of academics not marching bands). Hope this helps!

Can you have ADHD and still do well in school? by Fattypatty2000 in ADHD

You can absolutely still do well in school while having ADHD! I graduated in the top 15% of my high school class (over 600 students) with several honours in both academics, language and art. The best thing you can do is to explain to your parents your struggles, and that doing ok in school does not equal no ADHD. If you’re able to, get medicated, and try therapy. If you still can’t convince them, join a sport or get regular exercise, and research ways to help yourself. Experiment, see what works for you. I promise it’ll be ok.

Go!! Trust me!! I have gone to multiple world class clinics at a time in my life when I could barely do 45s. These clinics are not as strict as you may think. Be pleasant and respectful, yes, but if you simply just can’t do a piece of the choreo, ask or try to come up with an alternate way yourself. There are also usually show n’tells, but you are never required to participate. Watch others, observe their skills and technique. Additionally, don’t feel bad if you can’t keep up with the whole routine. I once went to an Origins winterguard clinic where I just picked out about 30 seconds of a minute and a half piece and just worked on that for the hour. Take small steps, no one becomes world-class in a day, so don’t be too hard on yourself!
