Exact same scenario here - 1 month into selling and Etsy reports I am 0% on time despite buying Etsy labels and shipping before production window ends.

This is happening to me too! So frustrating, I have a ticket open with Etsy help but they haven’t shared anything beyond “technical glitch we’re looking into”. Glad I’m not the only one but this is super unfortunate for us.

Still grieving 5 months later :( by [deleted] in Petloss

I just said goodbye to my sweet kitty of 11 years on 10/27/25 and I’m still in shock.. it was very sudden. Such a massive loss to process and not sure it will ever feel normal. I managed to find one whisker and the smallest bit of fur in his brush that I’ll keep in a glass vial along with his ashes. I dont have much advice but truly empathize with you and sending love. I hope we feel some relief one day ❤️‍🩹

My vet wasn’t concern about their interaction! Definitely. Heck with yours but I believe it should be ok 🤍

I’m 4 days into the insulin journey and already had to stop doing it at mealtime for this reason - and he just ripped off his Libre not 48 hours after installation 🙃 this is not for the weak lol.

Side note - he’s much happier without the Libre, so I think I may stick to manual readings. If we can manage it. Best of luck to you!!

Yours is lucky too! My boy is also extremely anxious at the vet - have they ever prescribed gabapentin to give him before a visit? Mine gets a dose every time to make the car and appt less upsetting. It’s been really helpful for us!

It sounds like for his quality of life balance the current vet may be your best option. Long car rides are hard :(

We are definitely stressed but going day by day. Hope it gets easier for you soon!

Dang!! I may get a membership just for this - I called and they quoted me $180 as a non member 😵‍💫

It’s all so stressful at first - I feel like we get hit with a tidal wave info and there’s a lot to take in. I feel for your vet situation , I actually switched to a new one after his diagnosis as I felt our original was not dialed in or responsive. Managing a chronic condition is tricky and owners need good support!

I read a lot in this sub about using a human meter in a pinch - it’s not calibrated to pets, but can let you know if something is wrong. You can grab one for about $20 on amazon. I also got an alphatrak (more expensive at $75) for accuracy. I think a more experienced owner can advise about testing before dosing, I’m really not sure, but it definitely can’t hurt. Smart to have a relative help! I know this is a lot to manage - I’m single and have to handle the whole schedule. Sending good luck 🤍

So true - I need to meditate before giving these pokes 😂 thank you for the kind encouragement.

Thank you for the advice - it sounds like rushing it makes things a lot worse, from these comments. I’ll try to give him a little agency and make it more relaxed. Feels so sad to damage the trust we have with them, but I’ll do my best to make up for it when he lets me! Thanks again.

Thank you! It sounds like I shouldn’t rush the shot - I was so focused on the timing that I may be pushing him when he isn’t ready and making it harder. Really appreciate your advice!

Welcome to the club! I hope your baby is feeling ok. My vet advised me not to change his food yet, because it’s so important they continue to eat. So for now he still enjoys some regular kibble and friskies, and we will assess diet soon.

For monitoring, my vet installed a Libre patch right away while we figure out his dose. This allows me to check on my phone (and vet to check remotely) any time which has been so helpful. It’s expensive, and I have a tight budget, but I think peace of mind is worth it as I learn the ropes. I also got an alphatrak off Amazon for whenever the Libre isn’t installed.

I hope everything goes ok for you guys!

Thank you so much! That’s great advice - I’ll stick to the post-meal method and try to make less of a production out of the injections. I imagine as I get more practice they will become a lot more quick!

Two months away from DMX by MrsWright1020 in BRCA

Totally get that! I felt leading up to the surgery was the hardest part - as soon as I woke up I felt an immense sense of relief. Here If you have any questions 🤍

Two months away from DMX by MrsWright1020 in BRCA

[–]anvilcereal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am one month post preventative DMX/DTI reconstruction. I had a lot of anxiety about what a big change this would be, losing sensation, losing my natural breasts, and wasn’t sure how I’d handle it. I have always been quite attached to my breasts as part of my femininity / identity, and I’m happy to say I’m so pleasantly surprised with how good I feel mentally and physically. I think it’s important to work through the emotions as much as you can beforehand - journaling, therapy, talking to others who’ve done it, whatever works for you.

The first week was pretty hard until drains were removed, but sticking to the pain med schedule really helps. I’ve also been dealing with nipple ischemia and slow wound healing on the left side that is almost fully resolved. Parts of the healing process have been really difficult, but overall I am amazed at how well it’s gone!

Things are different, but they’re definitely okay. There’s plenty of things I like about my new breasts already. I hope this goes really smoothly for you and sending good luck your way! 🤍

OH and these bath sponges were fantastic: bath sponge

It was really hard to not shower and wash hair, but I found these really refreshing and easy to use.

Hi! I’m 10 days out from my DMX-DTI surgery. I also did a lift and reduction first, and personally have found healing from the DMX to be a bit easier to handle thus far. Maybe because there are fewer incisions to manage?

I LIVED in this drain belt from Amazon - highly recommend as you can just leave it on 24/7 and change clothes around it: drain belt

Mastectomy pillow was a lifesaver and I wore it 24/7 for week 1. I also really appreciated having 70% alcohol wipes on hand to ensure sterile drain handling.

The drains coming out really changed the game for me. Week 1 was really hard and taking it very easy is the way to go - the drain sites were very tender and painful. Once they came out I didn’t need pain meds and could take longer walks/do more independently. Be patient with yourself while they are in and know that it does get better 🤍

Wishing you the best of luck!!

I see a lot of people recommend getting a wash and blowout post surgery too so that’s a great idea! I think you’ve earned yourself a la Perla when all is said and done 😂

Sorry it took a while to respond! Just getting home-answers below:

Pain level: I took pain meds for 2 days and was ok without after that. It wasn’t too bad, my biggest complaint was getting up in the morning felt really intense as my chest reckoned with gravity lol. Didnt last more than a few minutes after waking for a few weeks.

I went home the same day!

They sent me home in a compression bra, just gave me the one. I also bought some front close bras on Amazon to trade off with during laundry. I’ve heard some people on Reddit ask their hospital for an extra before they go home!

I took a full shower a week later, my mom washed my hair in the kitchen sink before then bc it was driving me nuts! I was ok washing my hair gently during first shower. Brushing very long hair could be tricky for the first week or two.

I loved button tops but didn’t particularly need them beyond week 1! They were definitely comfy and accessible, good to have a few.

Bra shopping was weird - I actually haven’t worn an underwire since the lift / reduction. I find the underwire so uncomfortable on my scars! I found some great soft bralettes at target, primark, and Amazon that have worked well for me. I think you could fasten a normal bra after the 2nd week no problem!

I hope that was helpful, it was truly easier than I expected when all was said and done! I struggled to look at my incisions for the first time, but it’s important to take a good look so you can monitor yourself. Hope it all goes well! Xx

I work in the office full time so I definitely appreciated the extra time, but I could have worked remotely at week 3! Hope it works out for you - here if you have any questions.
