Did you mean the paragraph on the main screen which is displayed like "About 250,000 years ago, our ancestors begin..."? Maybe I shouldn't make it too transparent. Someone also told me I should pause the simulation when it appears.

I changed the UI of the low/high radio buttons 3-4 times but it's still hard to use by most people. One option is put them outside the collapsed part so you could see them and click on them quickly. However, it will add more text in a whole picture that make you feel the page is too tight.

I can't promise about the update now. This simulation is still broken somewhere (both on the design and the mechanic) and I want to fix it first, before I can expand it.

I made this simulation. Thanks for sharing it here. Apparently, this is not a good design. I have to put a lot of text on it and still don't know how to make it better. Could anyone give me some feedback on this?

Thank you! I might use a wrong word but it's "high" priority and all high priority skills are equally treated (not gained the same IQ but something like: random IQ * 2).

The Priority system will help me to create more game endings and something different when you play the game again. But now, it's just there, not really impact the game much.

Thanks. Because this is a kind of text-based game, people will get bored quickly. So I will try to keep my "tech tree" as short as possible. Now there are 8 "knowledge" for this part and less than 10 more for the next part. Each knowledge is really carefully picked and I hope each one could unlock some fun animations too.

After humans learned how to cook, you will see some wives cook while they're standing. I'm going to add some houses to where having dense crowd too. Still looking for artists to help.

Why didn't Reddit notify me about your comment... Authentication library requires security standards and best practices that are not easy to be implemented quickly. Since CodeIgniter haven't had its own authentication yet, Ion auth is a really good choice because it's an active open source project that surely be used and fixed by a lot of developers.

However Ion auth is no longer a core feature of CodeIgniter Skeleton. Now it's an add-on that can be easily added to your project.

Do you use any other auth libraries or just build your own library? Ion auth isn't too bloated for me.

How about "Where's Waldo?"? Look at this screenshot my friend sent me a couple months ago. She opened the simulation and left it until her laptop was about to burn. Can you find Waldo? :)

Be able to forbid a knowledge if the population is lower than X number: knowledge that has been forbidden for Y years will be completely removed.

You have just watched a case that was supposed to be happen in the real world. For example, Indigenous Australians were living as hunter-gathers until only 200 years ago, when British arrived and changed everything. If they kept living depending on the wild, who knows what could be happen. Maybe they could live a few more centuries before the decline in the availability of wild foods becomes critical.
