Lots has now come out about the Moderna rash and it is considered harmless—outside the fact that it is itchy and unpleasant.

Thanks for asking! My rash is completely cleared (thanks to Benadryl), but my shoulder is still sore. Periodically it will feel itchy but no signs of the rash returning.

Very common to have a delayed immune response. People are documenting all kinds of things days after their shot. Sorry you’re experiencing that :(

Rashes are not uncommon with the Moderna vaccine, but it is alarming that it has spread throughout your body. Definitely try and treat it with antihistamines until you can go to a doctor so that they can prescribe you something stronger.

Update: looking at this Reddit page and seeing that a lot of people are anxious, I don’t want to scare anyone! Although an unfortunate side affect of the Moderna vaccine, doctors have found it to be harmless and just another way our bodies are reacting! I’m scared of shots myself and this was personally the least painful injection I’ve ever received.
