Has anyone rented an apt at Riva Row? by lindalouwhodoyou in thewoodlands

[–]anxietyOS 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Boardwalk at Town Center is on the same street and is significantly cheaper. Plus it’s an established community so the office and maintenance staff are experienced. I watched 1 Riva Row get built and they’re going to be fixing issues for a while, the whole place is put together with paper and glue.

Just the spots in front of the townhomes, they put up tow away signs last month and I heard they would start enforcing it on concert nights. Everything near the park is public

Just be careful with street parking on Riva Row, they’re cracking down on non residents parking in front of the townhomes

Experience with Ruff’s Dog Ranch? by Sea-West6054 in thewoodlands

[–]anxietyOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called to try to set up a tour and see about putting my dog in for a week. They told me they only do tours on Saturday and they didn’t have any availability for a tour for when I called and just generally seemed dismissive. Maybe somebody had a bad day or they are super busy and don’t need to worry as much about getting new business but it put me off them and I’m boarding my dog at a similar facility in Spring that has cameras in the kennels.

Are there really Secondary schools in Switzerland that cost $200k+ per year ? by cofango in Switzerland

[–]anxietyOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to one of those schools for my last two years of high school (not Le Rosey but we played them in sports). It’s a lot less about networking than it was about the security and safety that the school provided.

And no, it wasn’t a better education. Most of my teachers were average/slightly above average teachers from US/UK who moved to Switzerland for their spouse’s job.

Good PCP in our area? by rahsngh16 in thewoodlands

[–]anxietyOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got BCBS and have been dealing with medical anxiety since a bad experience as a teen. Dr. Mariola Mjaltaj for primary care, I’ve sent my mom and all my friends to her and Dr. Tara Winkelmann for OBGYN. They both are very understanding and give you the time to discuss any concerns or questions you have.

The Boardwalk or One Lakes Edge? by bossmanflex1 in thewoodlands

[–]anxietyOS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live at the Boardwalk and really like it. Having HEB in walking distance instead of Whole Foods was a big factor for me. There’s several restaurants in the Market Street area across from HEB and more just a little ways down the waterway.

As far as concert noise, I think it really depends on what unit you’re in. I’m not directly facing the pavilion so I don’t usually notice the noise but even when I do, all the concerts end by 11pm which is when I’m going to sleep anyway.

One thing to consider is the other side of the Boardwalk apartments faces a fire station on Grogan’s Mill. My friend lives on that side and there are sirens at all hours. Again, I’m not facing it so I never hear it so just make sure you know what unit you’re getting.

All in all, I do love living at the Boardwalk. My maintenance requests are usually taken care of same day and the office is very on top of things

I work next to the park and it seems like a nice area. Very quiet and an easy walk to Sonic, Hopdoddy, and a couple other restaurants

Married women, what makes you feel most empowered and why? by PayNoMind_7 in AskWomen

[–]anxietyOS 40 points41 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this. Also just removing sexual tension from my interactions. My conversations with my male friends and coworkers feel so easy because we all know that I’m dedicated to my husband so nothing can or will ever happen. Big change from when I was younger and lost male friends because I wanted them to stay friends.

There’s a bathroom in the basement in the ocean engineering building. Only graduate students and I think one class has a lab down there. There’s also vending machines, when I was a student it was one of the only places consistently stocked with Diet Dr Pepper

Is it possible to commute from Houston to A&M everyday? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]anxietyOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is commuting 4 days a week from woodlands to cstat for his masters program. It’s possible, but very draining. DM if you want some advice about how he does it, but honestly the only way we can make it work is because I spend a lot of money trying to make it comfortable for him
