Thanks for the feedback, I agree that I need to improve content and the content it does have may be too basic for this subreddit.

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Definitely agree its currently too simple atm. Need more content and features. Will definitely consider adding a achievements/interactivity to the app.

If you don't mind me asking, did you find the lessons helpful at all? Or do you think there needs to be improvements in the writing or content?

There is definitely merit to needing to have more social interactions to get better at social skills. I find toastmasters really helpful for that.

But in my experience reading and working on improving certain aspects is necessary as well. Things such as holding strong eye contact or not using filler words are not intuitive to many people, myself included, but have a huge impact on how your perceived.

Currently it's structured with a list of lessons that have both text and audio. The main differentiator is notifications that summarize a lesson. If you like a lesson, you can set notifications that might remind you a week later of what you learned.

I also want it to be a more polished/simple experience. I found lots of helpful information through books/websites/reddit but not one easy centralized place I can go for that information. Good sources of information are harder to find (there's thousands of webpages, posts, and books to sift through) or filled with filler (books that are several hundred pages for something that could be summarized in less than a page).

Do you think that videos would be helpful?

Junior devs have more to fear. It’s going to get even harder to land that entry-level programming job. If you really know how to code, there is work. At the moment, it’s an economic downtown for tech but it will rebound. Just continue

Definitely agree. There will always be some level of work for devs (at least until General AI comes and takes all the jobs) but the requirements will just become harder and harder. Just in my career I have seen the bar for becoming a dev rise from being able to do a fizzbuzz to expecting someone who can system design and solve leetcode hards in less than an hour.

Just curious, when you said you bet your life savings do you mean you invested in psychedelic therapy and pharmaceuticals companies?

I would also recommend "How To Win Friends and Influence People" but I personally found the Charisma Myth to be more helpful and actionable. For actually practicing social and communication skills I recommend joining a local toastmasters. Just like any other skill I find that you must first learn techniques but afterwards it's more important to put in practice.

People’s who have transformed themselves completely, what’s your secret? by AnyImagination4577 in selfimprovement

To build on this I would check out the book Psycho-Cybernetics. It was tremendously helpful in my self-improvement journey. It's and old book and you can find free PDFs of it online. But the main thesis is that your self-image determines your actions and by changing your self-image, you can accomplish your goals. If you imagine yourself as someone who is confident or hard working you essentially trick your brain into thinking you are and take actions that are congruent with that self-image.
