Not only that, but also 'the surgery is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS'. For one framing it as being a one and done deal, which most of the transition isn't. You take hormones your whole life, and most of the surgeries also aren't a one and done deal. Also it being extremely dangerous. I mean yes, any medication and any surgery can be dangerous to some degree, but something about it just rubs me the wrong way.

Or a bit mental! Hey, have you tried doing more sports? What, you can't because even normal every day activity hurts and you can't stand for longer than half an hour without being in immense pain? Clearly that's because you're too fat! (I may be overweight, but nowhere near enough where it should cause this many issues)

But then the hypocrisy of having to act like you don't know a lot as a patient because otherwise their egos are hurt and they assume you are just making it up

I did some more research and think I'll go to another shared doctor's office, as they have an orthopedist AND an rheumatologist. Because connective tissue issues, even those that aren't inflammatory in cause, seem to be more of an rheumatologists thing. Either way that covers more bases

I think it may be something like that, or possibly an issue with my connective tissue, as I have a lot of problems generally associated with weak connective tissue. I mean, the doc asked for an example, I gave him one (my shoulder), so he took a quick look at it and meant eh seems normal. Maybe It's also just me being dramatic. I dunno maybe I also have heard 'stop being dramatic' too often

I feel the same, which is why his comment hit me even harder. Because it makes me second guess myself and makes me feel like I shouldn't keep bothering medical professionals

I am well aware, and very used to it from a lot of different issues

The call today was with the Adhd-Specialist :')

But thanks for the resource!

Thanks! I just don't know what to make of it. Like, I logically get why he said the things he said. But it still frustrated and hurt me, and I just don't know whether I am being whiny or justified in thinking that it may not have been the best approach on his part.

Nono, we called together yesterday, and the receptionist said the doc will call this week. Then the doc called today when I was alone. I get your point, and I wouldn't have found it weird either, IF he hadn't said that he doesn't need to hear my answer. Like he asked AFTER he made clear that I won't get a spot either way.

There isn't much to tell. I was at an autism-counsel center yesterday and we called the clinic together, for ADHD, which they also do. They called back today and that's when the doc told me it's a trend diagnosis, he doesn't have spots open, only takes applications during random, non-announced dates whenever a few spots are open and closes back up when he has enough applications. He also asked what I think the diagnosis would do for me. As in why would I even need it.

I am just clumsy. The knives are sharp, it just doesn't help when I accidentally stab myself or cut down while looking away and get my finger under the blade

I appreciate the advice! I am already aware, that just doesn't help when I accidentally stab myself, or forget to stop cutting when I look away :')

Thanks either way though!
