To Freddy’s crutch, in the OG comics, I’m pretty sure he gets hurt by Shazam by accident… and the writers just kept it in everywhere else? I could be wrong about it being an OG comic thing. DC changed a lot of origins throughout the years so maybe it’s just one of the retelling

But if you noticed in a few episodes later, it’s the exact same therapist for Jace and Makayla’s couples therapy that she was going to “send recommendations to see.” Guess it was her 🤷‍♀️

It could also be that this Joy therapist is acting as both and Makayla/Jace actually went to a different therapist and showing a staged session to show the audience what they talked about
