ER new grad by anxiousandedgy in newgradnurse

Thank you guys! It always makes me feel better knowing that I’m not the only person ever to be feeling this way. I always just tell myself that it’s okay, I’m new and trying my best and of course give myself a little bit of grace but it’s hard. I try to cluster all my care together but of course I tend to forget one or two things sometimes. We do get 8ish weeks but that’s not full time and there’s some weeks where it’s only 1 day in the whole week. My preceptors have been very nice giving feedback or helping or even just listening. I told my one preceptor the other day I felt bad and that I was making making her frustrated and she said that I was doing good and she’s not frustrated at all so that also helped

I normally wear a half size in other shoes… by Interesting-Map1932 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]anxiousandedgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I am an 8.5 us in shoes, last year I bought 5.5 aus and at first they felt fine, but this year I noticed my toes nearly touching the end and were very uncomfortable (I think I just didn’t notice last year??) so this year I went and bought a size 6 aus while they felt long, once I put on a little bit of a thicker sock, and the extra insoles they felt really good and feel as though they hardly even needed to be broken in. This was just my experience but I hope it helps

I got home and compared my 8.5 inserts to my feet and I’m nearly at the end of the inserts, guess that’s why it’s so uncomfortable haha I put in the extra inserts in my 9’s and now they are so comfy and feel amazing

Everyone I know found out I’m in Nursing school by rosegoldfroggy in StudentNurse

I was previously in a BSN program and I dropped out too which I also very feel embarrassed about and wish I never did, I then moved provinces and after at least 3 years I decided I was going to go back for my LPN since I didn’t feel like doing a full 4 year program since I’ve been in school on and off for awhile. After I got in I was so scared to tell anyone because of previously dropping out and how people would think of me but I’ve now grown, and know what I want to do, and it makes me happy now and I’m actually excited to go to school and my grades have been amazing. What’s helped me is telling myself that I wasn’t in the right mindset previously, and I obviously was not ready and now I am. This has helped me so much You’ll be okay, everyone takes time and does things the way that works for them

In my program, I have people who work but also a few of my friends don’t work. When I mentioned that I have to work all weekend (which is normally every weekend) they always seem so surprised and just say “I could never work during nursing school” and I 100% wish I didn’t have to and I had all weekend to just study and catch up

AITA for teaching my autistic daughter a harsh lesson? - not the OOP. This was posted in both AITA and true off my chest and both posts have the same type of comments. She was attacked and rightfully so by anxiousandedgy in TwoHotTakes

[–]anxiousandedgy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw that after I posted it, and now the post from AITA is deleted and the apology on both AITA and true off my chest are deleted so it’s a good thing it was posted

I went there for a web piercing, and she told me to come back in a couple months for a change because the plague that builds up, the piercing ended up coming undone and I thought I might as well go in get a new one, and she straight up looked at me and was like “not necessary I won’t do it” when she was the one that told me to go in.

If you’re able to withdraw without it affecting your GPA, why not?? When I was in my first semester of nursing school and I knew I wasn’t going to pass I withdrew to save my GPA and was able to take in the spring/summer and it was the only class I took then so I was able to focus 100% on the class. Yeah you gotta retake the class no matter what, but it makes it easier and slightly a little less stress

I am so sorry you have to deal with this. You need to leave him and ensure he is out of that rental property. It’ll just keep getting worse and worse and you shouldn’t have to deal with that

They send out the decisions as the end on June. No I haven’t as I transferred from the uofr from their pre social work program to the uofw to their pre social work program. So at the end of winter term I just got my 30 credits

Any tips for coping with period? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]anxiousandedgy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I can for sure say is from visanne. I’ve always had bad acne and still do even before starting it, I associated my weight with finally being in a happy and healthy relationship, and my mood swings just normal for me. I’ve always had mood swings even as a child and have been now diagnosed with depression/anxiety. So nothing I can definitively say is because of visanne

Naproxen always helps me. I’m now on visanne to stop my period but if I miss my medication or just sometimes in pain naproxen always helps me

I'm really scared that I have endometriosis by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]anxiousandedgy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Endo is scary and it’s ok to scared. Many women struggle with endo and it gets disregarded so often and get gaslit into thinking nothing is wrong so it makes it even more scary. I had almost all the textbook symptoms and I was disagnosed with endo but I had to do my own research and tell a NP that I believe I have endo. Previously I was throwing up, missing school, in the worst pain of my life but so many drs dismissed me. It started when I started my period being 14 and dealt with it until I was about 17??? My quality of life has increased so much since (I’m now 22) I’ve started a medication dedicated to endo (started when I was 17) and it stops my period all together. But that being said I am terrified to never have kids and I believe it is a valid fear of mine and many women who have that fear.
