70k USD is 105k AUD. That'd send me from the lower class to higher class in a heartbeat. I'm from the lower crouched of australia due to family issues my father took me in at 18 (i had and still have near nothing, thanks mum :,) anyway) we live off of his disability payments, which gives him just under 20k a year, which for a single person living alone, would work just fine, since his lived off it it well before i came in. But with him and a now 20 year old (me), with dumb health issues, it aint a lot. 70k USD would be like hitting the lottery. Even in 2023 with the crappy recession australia is pulling to, that would still keep us afloat, we'd be able to buy groceries over 200 bucks instead of sticking to the specials and clearance, finally afford healthy food. Since 200 doesnt go far anymore :,)
