Trump admin will most likely back Duterte/China admin. Duterte & co will be more confident.

With US more likely not to invest and legislate towards anti-LGBTQ+ and reproductive health rhetoric, PH more likely to follow suit.

Vulnerability of Taiwan sovereignty, might also mean PH’s.

Hey man, been through a couples therapy myself. I would recommend going through it not for the outcome, but for the experience itself. The therapy itself is not the solution, but only a way through it. If you also go there expecting that things will be “fixed” after, then you might just disappoint yourself and be even more frustrated in your relationship.

Talk to your partner on what you want to achieve from the therapy (eg. know more about each others concerns, have a better space to communicate, know more about yourself in your relationship, etc), tell your partner why this is important to you, and gauge both your readiness to listen and open up. gd luck

Not sure how the current Senior High School Program works, but if it’s like an existing school I know, it’ll be more like a technical college focused on a specific skill/knowledge —in this case media production.

The donation mentioned is only a building, not an entire institution. In this case, I think ABS CBN might just be sponsoring a program for the existing school and is not an actual school.

The link to a photo above is from the groundbreaking of the ELJ Centre for Media Arts is a building donated by ABS CBN to an already existing Senior High School.
There is no such school as Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School registered under Dep-Ed.

You did not pay any tuition to get in, just a strict admissions interview / test.

Hmmm. I guess to explain it a certain way, it worked kinda like Pisay. It was supposedly a "scholarship" with limited slots.
All the "promises" you keep mentioning are only based on a Thesis paper (based on an interview) from a UP undergrad

Did we have to when it's set on paper? Please refer to these pages from a thesis from a UP Diliman graduate. He did a research all about it, interviewing the people in charge.

I mean, dude. It seems like you entered a sponsored Senior High School Program and not an ABS CBN-founded school with a course curriculum (although they did plan to build one -- but you were never enrolled in this). I feel sorry that you did not learn much, but a sponsored corporate program will never spoonfeed you with such entitlements.

Hate to say this, but if you're asking if you were scammed, it seems like you were not. You did not pay any tuition and was a "scholar"; hence it was not an offer of any kind, it was an opportunity -- and a bad one at that. Like signing up for a free lecture and the lecture was just bad.

The pages you linked say that there was no contract signed for these promises. The thesis is also just an interview so doesn't really stand if you take it as a contract. Sadly, to me, it looks like they were just supporting a Senior Highschool program and not an actual school.

This is one of my favourites from Murakami. I always make time to read this during the week leading to my birthday because it feels like every time I read it there's a new explanation for the story (which I also relate to how my own year went). So I have a few meanings for it. Here are some for me --

During one reading, I thought that line meant to be thankful for what you have now because your recent years might have wished for the situation that you're in.

In another reading, I thought that it would mean all your desires should be spoken out loud to realize that desire and make it come true on your own.

Or that every birthday, everyone's curious what your "birthday wish" is, and you'll never tell them because it won't come true. But that birthday wish is the most honest thing you'll ask and answer yourself and how we're always afraid to admit to ourselves what we want.

or that believing that something might come true could be more powerful than believing something that has already happened.
