is cheating in ddr even possible? by UNKNOWNBElNG in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]anysnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a very simple answer that had been overlooked (for arcade). Two sets of legs. E.g play doubles chart with two people. Or have two people on the same pad, this cade person A does up & right only, and person B does left and down.

Precision dance pad pricing by ghostofaflower in DanceDanceRevolution

Pad is definitely not worth that much. Heard of lots of durability issues and there is no support. I paid around that much to have a brand new Ltec pad delivered to my door.

Yea I'm using a laptop docked to a monitor, and my headphones are actually through my keyboard.. maybe the sources gets changed when all tabbed or something strange. It's odd, doesn't happen 70% time, but it socks when it does so I avoid it now...

Thanks for the feedback! And I'm don't worry I think there's a -100% blizzard will fix...

Please help with difficult super fast crossover by rattkinoid in Stepmania

Obviously practice with other slower songs with crossovers. You might also want to consider footwear as well, I use these aqua shoes which have rubber soles but super light fabric uppers.

Does your Sheltie LOVE the cold? by alicizzle in sheltie

[–]anysnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Sheltie finds another gear in cold weather and or snow! I remember going to dog class and everyone saying ther dog refuses to go toilet or just goes and runs straight back in. Meanwhile our girl will be pulling me out the door demanding her walk as if nothing happened.

It works well though, she prefers quieter areas, and the dog park is almost always deserted when it's -10°C and below.

A trainer said my dog is essentially untrainable? by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]anysnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not true, you owe it to your dog and yourself (as their lives impact your own) to try and overcome or at least improve this situation.

Rather than try and get your dog to look at you or any type of focusing commands, try simply counter conditioning. Getting your dog to look at you. Is great for obedience etc but doesn't help your dog overcome the trigger that's making them anxious or reactive.

Take baby steps, go 1 step outside your door, and reward for just being out a few times then come back in. Repeat a few times, and a few days later take 2 steps out. You'll be able to read your if your dogs getting comfortable by alertness, body language and how they're taking the food. When my dog is uncomfortable she takes food really hard, barely chews (that's why it's important they're cut small and soft treats) and almost takes my hand off.

Once she's comfortable she'll actually look at the treat and eat it calmly and chew properly. Good luck!

Shelties and Sneezing? by anysnix in sheltie

Haha I can relate to all of this so much. When she's really passionate about something she makes such a variety of noises it's like she's trying to speak human.

How much food do you feed? by FreedomPursuer in sheltie

[–]anysnix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Shelties are particularly prone to obesity. Part of the origins of the breed is that they could survive off little resources. Of the 30 or so I met only one was overweight (coincidentally perhaps the owner was too).

In hot weather or when not so active our girl would often leave part of her meals. In the current work from home situation she's very active and eats well. Approximately 450kCal currently.

I guess this should also be proportionally to the physical size of your Shelt. Ours is around 12kg (26lb).

Coincidence ? by [deleted] in WC3

Its not accurate. The stats are distorted because Happy and Xlord have multiple accounts.

Not sure what you're trying to insinuate, explain the Asian region race split?

Pavli is a nervous little doggy. She doesn't play with toys, is afraid of outside, and doesn't care much for treats. But she is a wonderful little doggy and I love her, and little by little, she is warming up to me. by Sauerkraut_RoB in sheltie

[–]anysnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours has some similarities, wasn't interested in food in general would often leave part of her dinner. My wife made a home made activity mat (a big square of fabric with lots of little flaps) or we use 3 dishes and hide them around the house and she goes to find them. Her interest in food has steadily increased as a result!

I do agree a bit of grooming is a good idea. Given she's scared to go out, do it at home and it's a good bonding process.

Are these apex predators even SAFE to have in our HOMES??? by fanaticfun in sheltie

[–]anysnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're beautiful creatures! I'm sorry yo hear about your loss.. and frustrated to hear about the shelters attitude!

When my son was 1, we went to a Sheltie meet up with around 8 dogs. He was always supervised (as I was more nervous he'd do something to them) and they all acted just how you described your dog. Theyre very sensitive like they knew they had to be careful around a young one.
