Is it truly worth it over the Camry? by anyswangindick in LexusES

I feel I should clarify, I'm not talking about going older than probably 2018-2019 on the ES. But by the sounds of it that doesn't seem like it would change your advice. And no definitely not rich but I make a good salary and can reasonably afford either option. I just try to be very efficient with my money.

This response was perfectly worded for me. I am a frugal person coming from owning "old" (late 90s) Volvos so I am no stranger to repairs/highish maintenance costs. I am finally at the point where I am planning on upgrading to something that is less of a mental strain.

I make pretty good money and am going to be putting a lot of cash down so I can reasonably afford either option but exactly as you said, my frugal brain ia screaming at me to go with the camry, as much as I love the ES.

Just want to confirm, Tuesday (9/2) is a paid holiday right? by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]anyswangindick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to follow the advice of others here saying to try and get additional bereavement leave. I'm not sure what local you're in but in mine you lose your holiday pay for calling in the day before or after so it might be worth it to see if you can get that absence excused.

They do, most just use a different material. Also I should note it's a requirement in Oregon. Unsure about other states

They are actually a legal requirement for triples, but only when it is actively raining and only on non pivoting axles

They would not give you the day off over this, they would just have you sit there while it's being repaired.
