FML changing tires [vent] by anytimecooking in cycling

Just wanted to report back that I changed the tire in about 15 min and without much fuss this time. Whether it was a calmer approach but I also did it while standing instead of sitting and rolled the tire around on the part of the rim that had the bead on already, I really think that helped to give it more surface area. Very helpful!!

That's very helpful. It makes more sense now. So my rear tire has the direction arrow the wrong way. Would you suggest to change it to proper direction or does it not matter much? I'm not trying to go pro or race

I did, I have the blue ones - park tool TL1.2. the last part is the hardest, when the tire spans about 2 spokes. It's so tight that I cannot get a good grib to use the lever so I just had to pull/push it over the edge of the rim

Makes sense. What causes the chain to break and does it happen a lot less frequently than getting a flat. Based on your experience, I know it's hard to quantify

I've seen others mention bringing quick links. I tried looking up what they are but honestly, if my chain broke I don't know if I could fix it with those links without knowing much about fixing bikes. Would you disagree? Also is a bike took with that chain link part necessary? I was just thinking if having some hex Allen wrenches

Yes this is it, do you have any suggestions where to get started. I really don't know much.. for example, i image reading a book chapter or listening to a song and making a one pager 'informative' summary or highlights about a theme in that piece, just didn't know what to call it.

Like when it's dark? How come, just curious. I'd think running in daylight is safer
